Mao Zedong’s first grandson Mao Xinyu recently returned to Hunan with his family to visit his tomb, and many official media reported on it, taking the opportunity to carry out red propaganda.
According to the media, Mao Xinyu returned to Changsha County on April 3 with his wife Liu Bin, son Mao Dongdong and daughter Mao Tangyi to visit the graves of his grandmother Yang Kaihui, parents Mao Anqing and Shaohua, and uncle Mao Linying, and to visit the former residence of Yang Kaihui.
On April 4, Mao Xinyu’s family came to Shaoshan and laid a flower basket to the bronze statue of Mao Zedong.
This year coincides with the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese Communist Party, and the propaganda department of the Chinese Communist Party has taken the opportunity to increase the so-called “ideological education and national education” for the public, emphasizing the “red heritage”.
However, every time Mao Xinyu appears, he often becomes the target of folk teasing.
In January this year, an inscription by Mao Xinyu wishing the Chinese Communist Party “a long life” was again circulated on the Internet, and netizens teased that Mao predicted that the Communist Party would die in 2021.
In August last year, a video of Mao Xinyu, accompanied by two bodyguards, was circulated on the Internet. In the video, the suspected Mao Xinyu man holds a stick in his hand, which netizens have dubbed the “dog beating stick”.
Netizens commented: “The essence of autocracy is to engage in privilege in life and hostility in politics. Only by constantly creating enemies can you crack down on people who disagree with your privileges, and only by constantly cracking down on people who disagree with your privileges can you keep your privileged interests and privileged status from being taken away. This generation after generation of parasites wearing the hat of the second generation of red sucking the blood of the people more and more nourishing eating the flesh of the people more and more fat. Those who want to, can also cross the ocean to retire ……”
Deutsche Welle reports that the reason why Mao Xinyu is in the public eye and used as a laughing stock is actually a mockery of the Chinese Communist Party’s power elite.
Born in 1970, Mao Xinyu has a doctorate in what he calls “Mao Zedong’s military thought. He was admitted to the history department of Renmin University of China in 1988, where he focused on the so-called “Mao Zedong Thought” and Ming history, and graduated in July 1992. In September of the same year, he entered the master’s program of the Theory Department of the Central Party School, where he received his master’s degree in 1995, and in 2000 he entered the doctoral program of the Chinese Communist Party’s Academy of Military Sciences, where he joined the army at the same time, specializing in military strategic theory and “Mao Zedong’s military thought”. Mao Xinyu often talks about “my grandfather”, but he is accused of not knowing anything about military knowledge.
In July 2008, Mao Xinyu became deputy director of the Strategy Department of the Academy of Military Sciences, making him a general officer of deputy military rank. He was promoted to major general in 2010, the first post-70 major general in the Communist Party of China, after allegedly relying on “special care.
Some analysts believe that Mao Xinyu, as the top second generation of the Communist Party, will not lose his privileges as long as the Communist Party does not fall.
