After Facebook permanently deleted an interview with Trump conducted by Trump’s daughter-in-law Lara Trump, Laura said Thursday, April 1, that a blackout on Trump’s speech is usually the practice of communist countries.
Lara, who recently joined Fox News as a contributor, posted the interview with Trump on Instagram, a Facebook-affiliated social media outlet, on Tuesday, March 30. But the video Laura posted was later deleted by Facebook.
Fox host Brian Kilmeade asked Laura, “How did we get to this point where a former president of the United States can’t be seen on people’s accounts?”
Laura replied, “This is not the country we want to live in, this is what happens in communist countries.” “But I think the message that this thing sends is that they want to erase Trump. They want you to forget that he exists.”
Laura went on to say that Facebook doesn’t want people to see Trump, doesn’t want people to hear him, “They want you to look away, move on, shut up, get on with your life and forget that Trump exists. It’s really scary stuff.”
Trump’s son, Eric Trump. Eric Trump showed an email from Facebook to Laura on Instagram. The email said, “We’re contacting you to let you know that we removed Laura Trump’s Facebook page as a Facebook page. Trump’s Facebook page featuring Trump’s speech,” “Our blocking of Trump’s Facebook and Instagram accounts is consistent, and any additional content with Trump’s voice will be removed (including new posts with Trump speaking), and accounts posting related content will be subject to additional restrictions. “
The email also said, “This rule applies to all campaign accounts and pages, including the Trump team, other campaign messaging vehicles on the Facebook platform, and former surrogates.”
Last month, Laura, speaking on her own Internet talk show, “The Right View,” about the crackdown on the two lawyers defending Trump’s impeachment, also said that the United States is heading down a very dangerous path, sliding toward communism. She suggested that in order to prevent this from happening, Americans must not be afraid to express their views and must stand up against the “cancel culture”.
Laura believes that we must fight. “I want this country to be the greatest country for my children and grandchildren, but we are sliding in a very scary direction, and we cannot allow that to happen in America.”
She also said that it is a “communist mentality” to force others to give up their free thought or be suppressed. She urged people not to be afraid to express their views and positions.
A source close to Trump said, “What they’re doing to Laura is shameful.” “They’re shutting down our voices, any voices associated with Trump.”
Trump’s daughter-in-law Laura is currently an active figure in U.S. politics, and with the support of senior Republican Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC), Laura will likely run for the North Carolina Senate in place of Senator Richard Burr (R-NC), who voted to impeach Trump in the current impeachment trial.
