Students from some countries can enter Russia, but not Chinese students

The netizen named “Russia in a Closer Look” broke the news on today’s headlines that Russia allows foreign students from some countries to enter the country, but not Chinese students.

On March 20, the press service of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia released a message on social networking sites saying that foreign students from some countries will be allowed to enter Russia by order of the Russian federal government. These countries are considered safe for epidemics by the Federal Service for Consumer Protection and Public Welfare, including Japan, South Korea, Singapore, India, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Vietnam, Greece, Egypt, Kazakhstan, Qatar, Kyrgyzstan, Cuba, Maldives, the United Arab Emirates, Seychelles, Serbia, Tanzania and others. The Russian Federal Service for Consumer Protection and Public Interest Supervision will regularly update the list of foreign students from the countries allowed to enter the country.

According to the message, foreign students are required to notify Russian universities of their entry Time by e-mail at least 10 days. New Coronavirus tests are required 3 days before entry and within 3 days of entry. After entering the country, they need to be isolated at Home until they receive the results of the virus test.

Chinese students are not allowed to enter the country.

The Chinese Communist Party media “China News” also reported on this issue, but did not mention that Chinese students were not allowed to enter the country.
