Republican Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) said “it’s Time to open up Texas 100 percent,” saying he has signed an executive order to remove the requirement to wear masks across the state as of 10 and to allow most businesses to increase the number of indoor space controls to 100 percent (except in counties with high hospitalization rates counties to impose partial restrictions on businesses).
Many states across the U.S. have been relaxing their regulations, and Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear, a Democrat, announced that government offices and businesses including barbershops, hair salons, bowling alleys, fitness centers, and movie theaters will be able to increase their indoor occupancy to 60 percent starting this week.
