Wang Fuyu, former deputy secretary of the CPC Guizhou Provincial Committee and former chairman of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), has fallen from grace. Wang Fuyu has been deeply involved in Guizhou province for more than 13 years, was the deputy of Li Zhanshu when he was in charge of Guizhou, and was also a colleague and subordinate of Zhao Kezhi, the current Minister of Public Security and Party Secretary of the Communist Party of China.

According to the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and State Supervision Commission Ji on February 21, Wang Fuyu is suspected of serious disciplinary violations and is currently under review and supervisory investigation by the Commission. But the briefing did not specify the specific reasons for his investigation.

Public information shows that Wang Fuyu was born in August 1952, is Henan Tanghe people. He has served as secretary and deputy secretary of the General Office of the Hebei Provincial Party Committee; deputy secretary of the county party committee, county mayor and county party secretary of Huilu County, Hebei Province; deputy mayor of Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province from April 1989 to July 1991; deputy mayor of Haikou City, Hainan Province from July 1991 to December 2004; standing committee member and deputy mayor of Haikou City; secretary and mayor of Qiongshan City, Hainan Province; secretary and mayor of Qiongshan City, Hainan Province; secretary and mayor of Qiongshan City, Hainan Province. Wang Fuyu served as deputy secretary of the CPC Guizhou Provincial Committee from December 2004 to November 2007, and deputy secretary of the Guizhou Provincial Committee from November 2007 to January 2012; deputy secretary of the Guizhou Provincial Committee and vice chairman of the provincial CPPCC from January 2012 to April 2012; vice chairman of the Guizhou Provincial CPPCC from April 2012 to January 2013; chairman of the Guizhou Provincial CPPCC from January 2013 He retired in January 2018.

Ironically, at the 2015 Communist Party Congress, Wang Fuyu suggested that corruption should be severely punished by severe laws, consolidating the high-pressure situation of “not daring to rot” and building a system that “cannot rot” and “does not want to rot. The system of “not wanting to be corrupted”.

Wang Fuyu served as deputy secretary of the provincial party committee in Guizhou for many years before he retired, and is the deputy of the current Politburo Standing Committee member Li Zhanshu in Guizhou. Li served as secretary of the Guizhou provincial party committee from August 2010 to July 2012.

He was also a colleague and subordinate of Zhao Kezhi, the current Minister of Public Security and Party Secretary of the Communist Party of China. Zhao Kezhi became deputy secretary of the CPC Guizhou Provincial Committee, secretary of the Party Group of the provincial government, acting governor and governor in August 2010; from July 2012 to July 2015, Zhao Kezhi became secretary of the CPC Guizhou Provincial Committee.

After the 18th CPC National Congress, Guizhou’s officialdom continued to quake, and several senior officials have been investigated. 2018 before the two sessions of the CPC, the first round of inspection was launched by the Commission for Discipline Inspection. In Guizhou province, a key province in the inspection, as many as 112 officials have been investigated within two months after the inspection team moved in. Among them is the former Standing Committee of the Guizhou Provincial Party Committee and Vice Governor Wang Xiaoguang. The fallen officials also include retired officials.

According to the latest statistics from the mainland media on February 10, since the 18th National Congress, 837 officials have fallen in Guizhou province, including 38 officials above the department level, and 15 officials under the jurisdiction of Guizhou provincial units and direct units.
