U.S. media outlet The Gateway Pundit reported Friday that the wily Graham traveled to Sea Lake Lodge this weekend to play golf with President Trump in hopes of healing a growing rift at the top of the Republican Party.
The Gateway Pundit said it was not long ago, remember, that Graham stabbed Trump and Trump supporters in the back. on Jan. 6, after the U.S. Capitol was stormed, Graham used the violence as an excuse to begin his attacks on President Trump. The violence had nothing to do with President Trump, but Graham prefers to say it did. President Trump absolutely cannot trust this snake.
According to CNN, the source revealed that Graham plans to be able to convince the former president on the golf course to allow Republicans to regain the majority in Congress, adding that it would help bolster Trump’s presidential legacy. The source said Graham wants to be a “constructive” part of the process, urging Trump to use his influence to serve the interests of the Republican Party.
Graham is the latest Republican to visit the Sea Lake estate to meet with President Trump. On Tuesday, Steve Scalise, the No. 2 Republican in the House of Representatives, came to Hay Lake Lodge for a private meeting with Trump. On Monday, Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell vowed never to meet with Trump at the Sea Lake Lodge.
As a “staunch ally” of Trump, Graham has said in recent weeks that he is concerned that the dispute between Trump and McConnell will affect the Republicans’ chances in next year’s midterm elections.
