Xiaoguozhuang village unsealed day unknown Villagers remember isolation: scared shivering

Households were fully exterminated after villagers were taken away from Xiaoguozhuang village in Gaocheng District, Shijiazhuang City. (From those in the know)

As the eye of the storm of the communist virus (Wuhan pneumonia) Epidemic in Hebei, Xiaoguozhuang village in Gaocheng District and its surroundings have been sealed off for more than 40 days, with no sign of being unsealed so far. Some nearby villagers recalled the horrific scenes of forced quarantine by the authorities at the beginning of the outbreak, saying they were “scared to death”.

On February 19, Wang Liang (a pseudonym), a villager from Liujiazuo village in Gaocheng, told the Epoch Times that their village has a permanent population of more than 600 people, and there is only one kiosk in the village. Liujiazuo village is next to Xiaoguzhuang village and is very dependent on it in all aspects.

The Chinese Communist Party officially announced on January 2 that there was a confirmed case in Xiaoguzhuang village.

Wang Liang said, in fact, before the outbreak of the epidemic, the village of Xiaoguozhuang was infected with people who showed symptoms of the flu. At that Time, the village doctor only treated according to the common cold, but has not been cured until the infected person went to the hospital and tested positive. During that time, the village also held a wedding, and because of the large number of participants, the epidemic spread.

Loud speaker broadcast list of buses pulling people for quarantine

Recalling the authorities’ extreme means of pulling people for quarantine in early January, Wang Liang said, “It was old and miserable.”

“In the days when it was first discovered, every day the village broadcast on loud speakers. Read a dozen names at a time, read the names are positive, come to 120 ambulances to pull away, regardless of the day and night broadcast.” He said.

“In the middle of the night, as soon as they heard the broadcast, (villagers) ran outside to hear whose name was read. Everyone was very panicked and did not know what was going on. Scared, no bottom in mind, scared are shivering.”

From Jan. 5, people stopped counting because the authorities began to carry out a “collective evacuation.

For the next three days, more than a dozen buses came to the village every day to pull people, and everyone had to wear full protective clothing. According to Wang Liang, everyone “only thought about fleeing and running for their lives, and couldn’t care less about anything else. Especially the Family has the elderly and children, the heart is more difficult.”

“No one told us when to quarantine.”

The villagers were then pulled to different isolation sites, including hotels and schools.

Wang Liang said, “Some of the isolation sites are not in good condition. You’d think with that many people, it would be nice to fit in. Some places do not have windows in the room, you have to light up during the day. There is a villager just started to go in when the (WeChat) group is still active, after a few days to stop, no movement, it is estimated to hold.”

Wang Liang himself was isolated in a hotel for more than 40 days, the experience made him “a deep impression.

“Room doors are locked, Life can take care of themselves are a person a room.” He said, “When I first went there, a box of rice, not enough to eat, hungry and unbearable. Then slowly adapt, as if the appetite has become smaller, has been so over.”

Every day, he ate or slept in the room, there was nothing to do, “I don’t know how to get through it. And the promised “14 + 7” isolation policy, only a piece of paper.

Wang Liang said, “No one told us to quarantine until when.”

Destructive culling of livestock wandering or starving to death

During the quarantine, the authorities suddenly informed the villagers to hand over the keys to their homes and to arrange for a centralized culling operation.

Wang Liang had a feeling that he was going to be “raided,” and his feeling wasn’t far from reality.

After returning Home, he found that “all seen on the surface, often used are destroyed and killed, such as: quilts, clothes, oil, salt, soy sauce and vinegar, pots and pans, etc., were destroyed.” All the Food in the refrigerator was also destroyed, including the meat that was just bought for more than a thousand dollars.

The animals raised in the village, except for the larger farms have volunteers to centralize the feeding, other domestic animals either run around the village to find their own food, or starve to death.

There are also villagers who call people from nearby villages to throw food into the village so that stray dogs can eat.

Wang Liang’s family kept a dead dog, chickens and geese have also died. He said, “The villagers have feelings with the dogs, chickens, ducks and geese they keep at home, the dogs are watchdogs, hey ……”

Extreme sealing of the door villagers shouted vent

After the epidemic gradually eased, people from the quarantine site were sent home in groups, and Wang Liang returned home on Feb. 8.

Although authorities handed out quilts, meat and other food, Wang Liang said, “It was a bad mood to see the situation at home.”

On Feb. 14, Communist Party officials announced that there was another confirmed local case in Xiaoguozhuang village, and there was a tendency to tighten control measures that were thought to be gradually relaxed.

Wang Liang said, “It’s still closed, and every door is locked, so there’s nothing to do all day. There are elderly people who cannot take care of themselves have to be specially approved to be allowed to send meals, but can not go anywhere else, very strict. These days the village has installed cameras again, I think it may take a long time to unblock.”

Some villagers can not stand to hold back, shouting at home to vent.

Wang Liang said, “This New Year’s Eve is a year I will never forget, and this life-and-death exodus has also made my life unforgettable. Last year when the outbreak in Wuhan, I have not had much feeling, this time I experienced it myself, this mood and experience can not be expressed.”

“In the past, during the New Year, families killed pigs, paid respect to each other and set off firecrackers. This year, I can only be at home, and my relatives and I are videoing online and drinking to pay our respects.”
