According to local media reports, on January 17, authorities built a huge quarantine site with 3,000 isolation rooms on a 510-acre site south of Huangzhuang village on the border of Zhengding County and Gaocheng District in Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province, which was originally intended to house close contacts and sub-close contacts, among others.

The transfer of patients from the Chinese hospital took place at night. The epidemic prevention personnel pushed the patients out of the hospital in wheelchairs, put them on the epidemic prevention vehicles, and pulled them away to the Huangzhuang apartment isolation site. Apparently, these patients were in such poor condition that they could not walk and were confined to wheelchairs.

Netizens said that the authorities said they were cured and had to be “discharged”. This may also be the reason why all these transfers had to be done at night.
