One America News Network (OANN) reports that some U.S. military personnel are refusing to receive the COVID (Chinese Communist Virus) vaccine
Troops are delaying receiving the coronavirus (Chinese Communist virus) vaccine, according to testimony from military leaders before the House Armed Services Committee. On Wednesday, members of the Joint Chiefs of Staff told Congress that about two-thirds of service members have been vaccinated, but some are refusing to receive the vaccine.
Officials reportedly said refusal rates vary, depending on factors such as age, location and deployment status. Commanders said they worked to ensure troops could operate in a COVID environment before getting the vaccine.
We don’t know exactly why someone hasn’t been vaccinated,” said Maj. Gen. Jeff Taliaferro, deputy director of operations for the Joint Chiefs of Staff. We think it’s important for this department to continue to communicate to our service members the value of vaccines, the safety of vaccines, and have continued leadership engagement to help our service members understand that.”
One commander said vaccines are not yet mandatory, but may become mandatory soon.
