Nominally Republican Senator Lisa Murkowski did not vote for Trump

The Republican establishment has once again proven that they are not standing with Republican voters, say Media Gateway for America experts.

Republican Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Ariz.) announced Friday (Jan. 22) that she did not vote for President Trump or Biden in the 2020 election, the Gateway Pundit said, citing a report from The Hill. She claimed that her candidate of choice “did not win,” but declined to say who the candidate was.

The U.S. senator from Alaska called on her fellow Republicans to consider rebuilding the Republican Party to make it a more inclusive party similar to what it was under former Presidents Reagan, Bush Sr. and Bush Jr.

Murkowski has previously said, “I’m not so sure I’m the right person if the Republican Party continues to be the party of Trump.”

Murkowski admitted, “Sometimes I get frustrated with what’s happening in the Republican Party. “I think every member feels that way,” she added. But I definitely don’t want to be a Democrat.”

NetGate experts commented that the Republican establishment is never going to let us down. How can Murkowski claim to be a Republican and not vote for President Trump? She’s really letting voters down, and that’s shameful.
