Transport Canada lifts 737 MAX flight ban, resumes flights Wednesday

Boeing 737 MAX airliner early years due to two serious air accidents and grounded, until earlier approved by the United States and other countries to resume flying.

Transport Canada on Monday (18) announced the lifting of nearly 2 years ban on flights, approved Boeing 737 MAX airliner from Wednesday (20) to resume flights.

A Transport Canada press release noted that airlines, engine repair companies and foreign civil aviation authorities have been issued airworthiness directives, as well as an interim order outlining airline requirements for additional crew training. It is understood that the U.S., European Union and Brazil have earlier approved the airliner’s return to flight.

In addition, Air Canada announced that it will resume commercial operations of its Boeing 737 MAX fleet effective next month, which will be phased into North American routes.
