Moderna vaccine may cause allergies California officials call for moratorium

In a statement issued Sunday (Jan. 17), California epidemiologist and state health official Dr. Erica S. Pan recommended suspending the distribution of one lot of Moderna vaccine after the launch of the vaccine against the Chinese communist virus (Wuhan pneumonia). The reason is that after these vaccinations, “less than 10 people needed medical attention within 24 hours.

According to Fox 11, Ban said there was a problem with the Moderna vaccine, lot number 041L20A. She said that “out of extreme caution (considerations),” she called for the suspension of distribution of the vaccine batch.

More than 330,000 doses of the batch have been distributed statewide to 287 providers, the report said. Fox 5 San Diego reported that the California Department of Public Health said fewer than 10 people in the Petco Park area who received the vaccine had “severe allergic reactions that could have occurred during the standard observation period.

The statement said Moderna, the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) and the FDA (U.S. Food and Drug Administration) are all investigating the vaccine and said no vaccine or medical procedure is risk-free.

On Jan. 6, Nancy Messonnier, director of the CDC’s National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases, said the incidence of severe allergic reactions to the COVID-19 (Chinese Communist Virus-Induced Disease) vaccine was 11.1 per million vaccinations. For comparison, the corresponding figure for the flu vaccine is 1.3 per million vaccinations.

The Moderna vaccine is very similar to vaccines from Pfizer Inc. and BioNTech of Germany and is now being distributed to millions of health care workers and nursing home residents.

Francis Collins, director of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), told the Associated Press (AP) last December that the two vaccines were “more effective than we could have almost dared to hope for.

The Epoch Times previously reported that as of Jan. 15, 10.5 million Americans had been vaccinated against the Chinese Communist virus. According to data reported to the federal system, the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS), 55 people in the United States have died after receiving the vaccine. However, whether these deaths were caused by the vaccine is still under investigation.

Reports indicate that deaths have occurred in people who received both the Moderna vaccine and the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine.

In addition to the deaths, people reported 96 life-threatening events following vaccination with the CCPV vaccine, as well as 24 permanent disabilities, 225 hospitalizations and 1,388 emergency room visits.

Federal health officials say that adverse events are being investigated, but that these vaccines are still safe to administer.
