The Washington Times on Thursday (Jan. 14) published an article by Charles Hurt, the paper’s op-ed editor, saying that the Democratic left is rushing to impeach President Trump just days before he leaves office in an effort to prevent him from running for office again. This is essentially an attempt to overturn the next election, which has not yet occurred.
The following is a translation of the article.
The last time Congress impeached President Trump, a deadly virus from China was plaguing our nation, poised to ravage and kill nearly 400,000 Americans.
During the first months of the global plague pandemic, our federal government came to a standstill while the left wing of the Democratic Party in Congress was blindly, angrily, and apparently futilely impeaching President Trump because of bigoted partisan interests. The Democrats failed and Trump was spared. From the beginning, everyone knew the outcome of the false orgy.
But thanks to the left’s dilly-dallying and pretending to be deaf and dumb in front of the cameras, the virus became pandemic. If you’re wondering why Democrats are so reckless in blaming Trump for the CCP virus pandemic, it’s because they actually have blood on their hands.
Now begins a second round of hopeless impeachment.
The plague is still prevalent, and this time everyone knows it. But they are still trying with the same fervor as they are chasing the Islamic State (ISIS) to impeach Trump, and President Trump is leaving office in a few days.
Indeed, these people are the most inherently dishonest and unserious elected officials ever. They are making a mockery of self-governance, which is exactly why Trump was elected president.
You might say that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) leads a circus with a bunch of untrained animals and demonic clowns, but to say so is a despicable insult to clowns and captive animals who just go crazy back and forth in closed cages.
Rep. Cortes (AOC) of New York took to social media to lay out to her mob the crimes that could impeach Trump. She said, “A lot of people have drunk the poison of white supremacy, and that’s what Donald Trump represents. That’s what it is.”
If you really want to stir up impeachment frenzy, point out any “inflammatory” quote from Trump’s speech before the violent attack on the Capitol.
Adam Schiff (D-CA) and others have started making up sentences and language that President Trump has never used before. And they refused to acknowledge the president’s plea for his supporters to “peacefully” protest.
They do not hold hearings or trials because any such due process would prove that such deliberate, violent incitement did not occur. If anything, it was an unintentional incitement to peaceful protest, the right to free speech, freedom of assembly and peaceful petition to the government, as enshrined in our Constitution.
The clowns in the House of Representatives in Congress are scrambling to blame Trump for the chaos they’ve caused in Washington, including 10 Republicans. Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney (R) is one of them, having been able to get into Congress because her father, Dick Cheney (R), was vice president.
I think we should be grateful that the Cheney family has finally found an “armed insurrection” that they don’t like. If more U.S. soldiers were killed or maimed at a cost of $2 trillion to taxpayers, Ms. Cheney might be more passionate about this kind of violence taking place.
Another impeachment zealot is Rep. Jim Clyburn, a South Carolina Democrat. To his credit, at least he was honest about his motives. He exclaimed, “This president must be impeached and convicted, and he must be prevented from ever being in power again.”
You saw that. This is not about removing Trump from office in the last week of his presidency, this is all about preventing him from running for office again. In other words, Congress is scrambling to overturn the next election that hasn’t even happened yet. They are fighting to the death to deny American voters the right to re-elect Trump.
This is rioting.
No wonder Liz Cheney is so excited about it.
