Wang Dan, a U.S.-based June Fourth pro-democracy activist, said in a Facebook post today that he tested positive for the virus at the end of December last year and was diagnosed with Wuhan pneumonia (the Chinese Communist virus). But he said he would not be defeated by the “Chinese Communist virus”.
Wang Dan said on Facebook that his symptoms were mild and that he has been symptomatic for more than 12 days now, and that he is in good condition and has been informed by his doctor that he can end his self-quarantine. He is being taken care of by his assistant and friends during his quarantine and is safe.
He also wants to use himself as an example to remind everyone that this wave of the epidemic is coming fiercely, and he has been very careful, but he still does not know why he got infected, so I hope everyone will not be careless.
He also said that his symptoms were actually milder than the common cold, but he still tested positive. So he urged others to get tested if they have any related symptoms.
Wang Dan hopes that everyone understands that there is no need to panic even if you are infected with the CCP virus pneumonia. The best thing to do is to cooperate with medical advice, stay calm, rest and drink plenty of water.
He concluded by reassuring everyone, “I’ve been in Communist prison twice. The CCP virus, too, will not defeat me.”
