Hong Kong has seen an increase in the number of professionals emigrating to foreign countries in recent years. Some reports point out that the political atmosphere is an important reason for the increase in emigration after the implementation of Hong Kong’s national security law.
According to the Hong Kong Sing Tao Daily, the president of the Hong Kong Medical Association, Choi Kin, said that many doctors around him have the intention to emigrate, the reason is that the political atmosphere has changed, so that these professionals feel worried.
In addition, there are also young doctors said that many of its side of the specialist doctors in consideration of other countries to obtain a license to practice for immigration plans.
The destinations of those who intend to emigrate include the United Kingdom, Singapore and Australia. The medical system in the UK is similar to that in Hong Kong, and the shorter processing time for the status makes it an ideal first choice.

Of the 12 Hong Kong people, two were sentenced to two and three years in prison respectively for organizing border smuggling, while the other eight were sentenced to seven months for border smuggling, in addition to two minors.
