Trump has renewed his ban on U.S. immigration and work visas until the end of March

U.S. President Donald Trump announced today that he will extend the ban on immigration and work visas until the end of March 2021 to protect U.S. -born workers.

Trump signed an executive order today noting that COVID-19 (COVID-19, COVID-19) continues to wreak havoc on American livelihoods. With that in mind, he announced an extension of the ban on immigration and work visas, which expires on December 31, 2020, until March 31, 2021.

Trump announced a 60-day moratorium on immigration on April 22, 2020, and on June 22 extended the ban through the end of the year, as well as a moratorium on the issuance of short-term non-immigrant work visas such as H-1B, L-1, H-2B and some J-1 visas.
