The Double Effect of the Great Plague of 2020 on the Chinese Communist Regime

The Great Plague (“CCP virus”/Wuhan pneumonia) that broke out in late 2019 and continues to this day, although it is difficult to fully assess its historical impact, its dual effect on the CCP regime is clearly visible.

Four characteristics of the Great Plague of 2020

First, the severity of the epidemic was the worst since the CCP stole the country, exceeding that of Sars many times over in 2003, and forcing the CCP to seal off Wuhan, a megacity of 10 million people, for the first time, for 76 days from January 23 to April 7.

Secondly, the epidemic has been prolonged and normalized. Although the Chinese Communist Party claims to have “successfully fought the epidemic,” the epidemic has continued to break out in localized areas, and the epidemic has been rising from the gourd. For example, on December 30, Shenyang City in Liaoning Province entered a “state of war”. Another example is that on December 26, Shunyi District in Beijing declared for the third time “to enter a state of war and start an emergency plan for the prevention and control of the epidemic”. Previously, in February, when the epidemic was widespread across the country, the Beijing CDC said that “a big battle is coming” and issued a “wartime status order”; on June 15, when the epidemic broke out in Xinfa Di Market in Fengtai District of Beijing and spread rapidly, Beijing announced again “On June 15, due to the outbreak and rapid spread of the epidemic in Xinfa Di Market in Fengtai District, Beijing announced again that “the city’s communities had entered a state of war.

Third, the peculiar nature of the epidemic made it difficult for a vaccine to work. In the development of the vaccine, the biggest concern was the occurrence of the ADE (antibody dependent enhancement) phenomenon. If ADE occurs, it means that some people’s own immune response will lead to aggravation of the disease after receiving the vaccine. on August 30, the article “Exclusive evidence: the immune response to the new crown vaccine may lead to aggravation of the disease” by the land media First Financial Network quoted an expert from the Shanghai Public health Clinical Center, “Our latest study found that the phenomenon of new crown ADE does exist, and the proportion is not low. and the rate is not low, and the relevant study results are awaiting publication.” Further, we must acknowledge the limitations of today’s science. There have been peculiar pandemics throughout history that have inexplicably disappeared suddenly, or for long periods of time, in ways that are scientifically incomprehensible.

Fourth, a second full-blown outbreak of the epidemic could occur at any time. 2003’s Sars came and went suddenly. It was a wake-up call to the people. But 17 years later, instead of learning the lesson, the Chinese Communist Party has degenerated for the worse. We can’t hope to be as lucky as we were in 2003 again.

From the above 4 characteristics of the pandemic, it is clear that the pandemic is a lethal shot to the CCP regime.

The Great Plague intensified the disintegration of the Chinese Communist regime

First of all, the Chinese Communist Party wasted the golden period to control the epidemic by blocking the news, fabricating lies, and punishing the “whistle blowers”, which led to the epidemic hitting not only China but also the world; thus, Chinese people and the whole world saw the evil nature of the Chinese Communist Party more clearly. From February 7, when the death of Li Wenliang, a general practitioner in China, became a “screen-level event,” to May 19, when the World Health Assembly resolved to call for an “impartial, independent and comprehensive assessment” of the pandemic, to the new U.S.-China Cold War and the emergence of the international community “There is an anti-communist tide in the international community, and there is a spiritual awakening in China that has swept the country to quit the CCP team.

Second, the hardships caused by the closure of Wuhan and the “state of war” in many parts of the country have exposed the rogue nature of the CCP and added to the pain of the Chinese people. The city is closed, the roads are closed, the neighborhoods are closed, there is no way to seek medical treatment, pedestrians are killed on the roads, city police are violent and rampant, communities monopolize the supply of vegetables and earn 100,000 yuan a day, neighbors are begging for trouble all over the country, the authorities are pushing personal “health codes” for precise monitoring, and so on. On June 4, on the 31st anniversary of June 4, former soccer player Hao Haidong read out the manifesto of the “New China Federation” to the world, which immediately exploded on the Internet, stirred people’s hearts and shook the whole country.

Once again, the pandemic hit the Chinese economy hard. Over the years, China’s economy has not been a “new normal” but rather a downward spiral, and the pandemic has made it fall even faster. The epidemic has brought the Chinese and global economies to a “standstill”; China’s economic recovery has been sluggish; technological “necking” has become more and more serious; global supply chains have been restructured and “de-communization” is inevitable; and manufacturing upgrades have been weak; unemployment has been severe. The manufacturing industry is weakly upgraded; unemployment is serious, consumption is downgraded, and domestic demand is insufficient; the polarization between the rich and the poor is intensifying, etc. In the face of domestic and international economic changes, although the Chinese Communist authorities have proposed “a new development pattern with the domestic cycle as the main body and the domestic and international cycles promoting each other” and are fighting a protracted war, it is definitely impossible to save the situation.

Last but not least, the CCP’s internal strife is developing in a comprehensive manner. First, the differences in political views have become public. Although it is not yet a “Xi-Li (Li Keqiang) fight”, many people in the CCP are very dissatisfied with Xi’s “governance” and “new era”, and some of Li Keqiang’s public statements are different from Xi’s. There are many supporters behind them. There are many supporters behind some of Li Keqiang’s public statements that differ from Xi’s. Secondly, there is a fierce struggle between various factions over Xi’s third term, Xi’s “successor” and personnel arrangements for the 20th Communist Party Congress. Third, Xi’s strengthened control over the current top brass and retired bigwigs has provoked a backlash, and anti-Xi forces are gathering. Fourth, the Chinese Communist Party system has been completely corrupted for a long time, and Xi has introduced a lot of family laws to “remove the corruption and make the muscle”, making Xi and the Chinese Communist Party system confrontational.

In general, the plague is a fierce lethal injection for the CCP regime; however, the lethal injection has added a lot of stimulants to make the CCP excited before death, confusing both the CCP and the world.

The plague stimulated the CCP to “return to the light”

For one thing, the pandemic hit China hard, but quickly subsided on the surface and turned around to ravage Europe, the United States and the world. To date, nearly 20 million people have been diagnosed in the United States, accounting for about a quarter of the global total, making it the country with the worst epidemic; France, the United Kingdom, Italy, Spain and Germany all have more than a million confirmed cases, ranking among the top ten in the world. In addition, India, Brazil, Russia, the three BRICS countries, the number of confirmed cases also steadily ranked the world’s 2nd, 3rd and 4th. On the surface, the fact that the United States, the world’s number one country, is so vulnerable to the plague undermines the United States’ leadership in world politics and changes the world’s aspirations for the United States and Western-style liberal democracy. In this way, the Chinese Communist Party has vigorously proclaimed the superiority of its system and the effectiveness of its measures to deal with the plague.

Second, the CCP’s Bureau of Statistics released data on October 19, saying that China’s economic growth turned from negative to positive in the first three quarters, up 0.7% year-on-year. Several international agencies, including the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), say China will be the only major global economy to achieve positive growth in 2020. 2020 ends with a study by a British think tank saying that the pandemic will push China to the top of the world’s largest economy by 2028, five years earlier than previously expected. Although, CCP statistics often contain considerable water, and international institutions and think tanks that conduct studies based on official CCP data often misrepresent their conclusions; the CCP has gained a big advantage in public opinion as a result.

Third, China is the world’s top manufacturing country, with a dominant position in personal protective equipment, medical devices, pharmaceutical raw materials, and intermediate goods, which the CCP uses to engage in “mask diplomacy” and “epidemic diplomacy” (for more details, see the author’s “China’s ‘Epidemic Diplomacy'”). For more details, see my article “Five Stupid Moves in the CCP’s ‘Epidemic Diplomacy'”). With the epidemic as a means of hegemony, the Chinese Communist Party has become arrogant and unbeatable.

Conclusion

The pandemic is still ongoing, and the current performance of countries around the world in the epidemic is far from a foregone conclusion. It is a little early for the Chinese Communist Party to be singing its own praises for its temporary “success against the epidemic”.

In fact, although Europe and the United States have been ravaged by the epidemic, because of their transparency, proper adjustment of response measures, and deepening understanding of the nature of the CCP, their epidemic will gradually stabilize and improve after it reaches its peak, and their hardest days will soon be over.

In contrast, the Chinese Communist Party has blocked information and fabricated data, making it difficult to see the true nature of the epidemic, and naturally, there is no effective response. For example, Beijing, the heart of the Communist regime and the capital, has always been the place where the epidemic is most tightly controlled in China, and the fact that the Shunyi District has declared a “state of war” for the third time shows that the potential for an epidemic in Beijing is too high.

Once the epidemic breaks out in China for the second time, it will be far more destructive and devastating than what is happening in Europe and the United States, which is unimaginable. Of course, the Chinese Communist Party may be wiped out in a second outbreak, but how many people will die in the meantime!
