According to the Zhejiang Maritime Search and Rescue Center news, at about 15:40 on December 30, the dry cargo ship “Ding Hao Ji 7” in Zhoushan booklet island about 2 nautical miles north, encountering high winds and waves into the cargo hold water, causing the ship tilted, requesting assistance.
Although the mainland officials said that the rescue center “quickly” sent all parties more rescue forces, but when the rescue department arrived, the dry cargo ship “Ding Hao Ji 7” has sunk. There were 13 crew members on board, two of whom were killed and seven of whom were lost. Only 4 people were rescued.
“Ding Hao Ji 7” was scheduled to sail from Wuhu to Xiamen with a full load of 4700 tons of cement.
