Beijing epidemic: 2 local cases 5 nucleic acid positive Shunyi into a state of war

After confirming two local cases linked to the Shunyi District yesterday 25, Beijing announced today 26 that five more people were tested positive for coronavirus nucleic acid. Today Shunyi District declared a state of war with plans to screen 800,000 people.

Pang Xinghuo, deputy director of the Beijing CDC, said at a press conference at noon on the 26th that Beijing has conducted nucleic acid tests on people associated with three streets in Chaoyang District, 12 streets in Shunyi District, townships, and the Tianzhu Comprehensive Protection Zone. In addition to the two new confirmed cases, five people have tested positive for nucleic acid, all of whom are close contacts of the confirmed cases. They are being treated in isolation. Another 21 close contacts are under medical observation.

Zhi Xianwei, deputy governor of Beijing’s Shunyi District, said at a press conference today at noon that since December 25, the Shunyi District has entered a state of war and plans to test 800,000 people.

On December 25, Beijing added two local confirmed cases, according to a 31-year-old woman, now living in Shunyi District, Gaoliying Town, Zhang Xizhuang, is a Shunyi “top full convenience store” employees. The company arranged for nucleic acid testing on December 24, the next day the feedback is positive, has been transferred to Ditan Hospital.

The other confirmed case is a 29-year-old woman who lives in Yibin South District, Shengli Street, Shunyi District, and is an employee of Hui & Co. She went to the fever clinic of Shunyi District Hospital with symptoms of fever and cough, and was tested positive for nucleic acid on the 24th and was transferred to Ditan Hospital on the 25th.
