U.S. authorities said Sunday they have identified Anthony Quinn Warner, 63, as the man who blew up an RV at dawn on Christmas Day in an explosion that shook a business district in the Tennessee city of Nashville.
Authorities said at a press conference in Nashville Sunday that Warner acted alone. They have not determined a motive for the crime.
U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Tennessee Donald Cochran said at a news conference, “We have concluded that a man named Anthony Warner was the bomber, that he was present when the bomb went off, and that he was killed in the explosion.”
Investigators used DNA and other evidence to link Warner to the bombing. They searched Warner’s home Saturday in suburban Antioch about 18 miles from the blast site. The blast site is a Nashville neighborhood filled with country music bars and restaurants.
