Trump and First Lady release Christmas video thanking brave Americans

President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania released a holiday congratulatory video on Thursday, Dec. 24, wishing Americans a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and expressing their gratitude to God and brave Americans.

“The president and I wish every American a Merry Christmas,” they said in the video released Thursday, “and on Christmas Day, we thank God for sending his son to rest our souls and bring joy to the world.”

The first couple thanked Americans for the courage they showed during the outbreak, and they thanked Americans in positions as teachers, students, law enforcement officers, and military personnel.

“As you know, this Christmas is different than ever. We are battling a global pandemic that affects us all.”

President Trump said it was a “Christmas miracle” that the U.S. was able to quickly obtain a large number of vaccines for the Chinese Communist virus.

He said, “We are delivering millions of doses of a safe and effective vaccine that will soon end this terrible pandemic and save millions of lives. We thank all the scientists, researchers, manufacturing workers and service providers who have worked tirelessly to make this breakthrough a reality.”

Robert Redfield, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), announced Wednesday that more than one million people have received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine against the CCC virus that causes the disease.

“On behalf of Melania and the entire Trump family, we wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year,” the first couple concluded in their holiday greeting.

The president will be vacationing in Palm Beach, Florida, in Ma’alajuela until January 2. His motorcade went to his golf club for a few hours, according to Epoch Times.

In past years, both President Trump and the first lady have spent Christmas with military personnel stationed on U.S. bases overseas.
