Biden plans to fund foreigners in Mexico waiting to enter U.S.

A few days ago, the transition team of Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden (Joe Biden) revealed that Biden would give foreign immigrants in northern Mexico, waiting to enter the United States to provide better housing and testing for the Chinese Communist virus (Wuhan pneumonia). However, he has no problem with the previous congressional relief bill that gave each U.S. citizen only $600 in the plan.

According to a Twitter post by Adolfo Flores, national security (immigration) correspondent for U.S. media outlet Buzzfeed News, the Biden transition team told reporters by phone Tuesday (Dec. 22) that “the new administration plans to change the asylum process at the border to identify the most vulnerable immigrants first and prioritize processing their applications.”

Flores wrote, “I understand the intent, but according to the Biden team, the power (to draw) the priority ranking (will) fall into the hands of non-governmental organizations (NGOs). This could end up being very confusing/messy.”

He quoted one advocate as saying, “Who will decide who experiences what and why they are vulnerable? Everyone in the state of Tamaulipas (in northeastern Mexico) is vulnerable.”

Flores also revealed that the Biden team plans to provide funds to improve living conditions and give humanitarian aid to people waiting to apply for U.S. asylum in northern Mexico. They will also provide testing for the Chinese Communist virus to ensure that people arriving at ports of entry have a negative test certificate.

Jessica Vaughan, director of policy studies at the Center for Immigration Studies, noted that the move means that the Biden administration is giving financial assistance to illegal immigrants who do not yet have visas or even entry into the country. She quoted talk show host Howie Carr as saying, “I just want to be treated like an illegal immigrant.”

Biden’s advisers have said they want to dismantle the border wall President Trump is building along the U.S.-Mexico border. It was built by Trump to reduce illegal immigration, combat asylum fraud and end the Catch and Release policy.

At the same time, the latest round of economic relief bill reached by Congress on the 21st, the size of $ 900 billion, only plans to give the American people $ 600 per person relief. In response, Biden did not raise objections.

In his 2020 year-end speech, he said, “Congress did what they had to do this week”; the relief bill is just a “down payment” and “far from perfect,” “but it does provide important relief at a critical time.

He expressed hope that the next relief package would include more economic stimulus, including more aid to states and localities, an extension of expanded unemployment benefits and direct money to businesses and investment in infrastructure. But when asked about the exact amount of his economic stimulus package, Biden replied, “That’s a (matter) for negotiation (that) needs to be negotiated.”

On the other hand, Trump posted a video on social media Tuesday asking Congress to revise the latest economic relief bill to remove some improper spending and increase relief payments to the general public.

He said that the bill contains many wasteful items and gives relief to ordinary taxpayers but only $600 per person; it also does not give enough bailout money and incentives to small businesses, especially restaurants, which have suffered heavy losses.

He also pointed out that the bill is more than 5,000 pages long and complex, and that few members of Congress have read through the text of the bill; in addition, the bill is called the “New Coronavirus Relief Act” but has little to do with relief from the new virus.

“Congress has found a lot of money for foreign countries, lobbyists and special interests, but has given the bare minimum to the American people who need it,” Trump said. Trump said. He wants Congress to increase the amount of money sent directly to people to $2,000 for individuals or $4,000 for couples, instead of the current $600.

On the same day, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) stated her agreement with President Trump’s proposal to give $2,000 in direct payments to every American.
