Chicago Chinese man was robbed and shot dead in a tragic accident, today more details of this case came to light, the brutality of the criminals is outrageous, police said, two of the robbers have been arrested, and the man who is sure the shooter is only 16 years old.
The Chinese man Guan Shuai of Bridgeport was carjacked and shot dead near his home at about 6:10 p.m. on Monday, the 21st (Monday).
According to the latest news, police have arrested two suspects, one of them is believed to be the shooter, and the shooter is only 16 years old, the robbers robbed Guan Shuai less than 10 minutes before, just before the street near the Ivy kindergarten carjacking of another Chinese car.
According to the surveillance video near the crime scene, Guan Shuai stopped his white SUV and got out when the vehicle emergency lights were still on. The Audi and Subaru, both dark-colored vehicles, came up and stopped in front of the SUV.
A man wearing a black hoodie and a white mask stepped out of the Subaru and walked toward the passenger side of the SUV. He opens and closes the passenger door before walking toward the back of the vehicle.
A man can also be heard inside the surveillance video saying, “Hey, give me the (car) keys, give me the (car) keys! Give me the (car) keys!” ; “What?” Another person says; “Give me (car) keys!” The first man spoke again.
The man in the hoodie entered the SUV and appeared to start the vehicle. The man tried to start the vehicle several times, but the SUV did not move. He then got out of the car and ran back to the Subaru.
Meanwhile, Marshal Kwan left the scene and called 911, but he was already trailed behind by the two robbers’ vehicles when both the Audi and Subaru turned right into the alley outside the driveway, and ten seconds later, three shots were heard. Police soon arrived on the scene and found Guan Shuai, who had fallen to the ground, dead.
Police were responding to the robbery when the ShotSpotter gunshot detection system also detected three gunshots.
It is unclear why the carjacker was unable to start the SUV, but a police source said Guan Shuai may have disabled the car through an electronic device when he called 911 for help.
When police arrived at the scene, they found the victim dead on the sidewalk.
Personal items were found near his body, along with three 9mm shell casings.
Both vehicles involved have since been recovered by police and two suspects have been arrested, one of whom is believed to be the shooter of Guan Shuai, who was 16 years old!
In addition, the family of the deceased said that the robbers shot Guan Shuai, but also got out of the car to take away his wallet, a vicious and heinous way.
It is reported that the 33-year-old Guan Shuai came to the United States more than 10 years, has a 4-year-old son.
After the tragic incident, Guan’s family posted on GoFundMe that he was a loving husband and father.
Her wife was emotionally distraught during a media interview and never believed her husband had left her!
