For a long time, stories about left-behind children have always been filled with various rule of law news.
The long-term abnormal growth environment and survival conditions make these left-behind children, who lack care, extremely vulnerable to defects in psychological, physical, personality and behavioral aspects, which in turn lead to serious social problems.
In my disciplinary career, the experience of Chen Ping, a left-behind child, had the most profound impact on me. I have communicated with him many times, and in the process of visiting the families of inmates organized by the prison, I also had extensive and in-depth communication with the local police station and other departments, and accessed the relevant case files, which led to this article.

Chen Ping has been living with his grandparents for as long as he can remember.

During that time, the casino owner’s son demolished the house on the Chen Ping family’s home base and built a small two-story house. The owner’s son was greedy and always suspected that Chen Ping’s family’s two huts were in the way, repeatedly looking for trouble and trying to drive Chen Ping’s family away.
One day, when Chen Ping came home from school, he saw that the owner’s son was abusing his grandmother again, and his grandfather, who was lying in bed, was so angry that he could not catch his breath. Chen Ping immediately rushed over and grabbed the boss’s son, using his small hands to desperately grab his face. The boss’s son threw his hand and slapped Chen Ping so hard that he fell to the ground and could not get up for a while.
That night, Chen Ping went over the courtyard wall, poured a bottle of fragrant oil on the quilt that was drying in the casino owner’s house, lit it on fire, and stuffed it at the front door of his house. Then, he stood in the yard and watched the quilt burn up. The owner’s son found the fire and rushed out. The fire was quickly extinguished and Chen Ping was taken to the police station.
When I first talked to Chen Ping, I asked him, “Why didn’t you tell your parents when you had a conflict with your neighbor?”
Chen Ping bowed his head and said, “They are always away from home, I encountered a sad thing, and there is no place to say, but to follow their own way to toss.”
“Then you can not go to set fire, ah?”

After coming out of the police station, Chen Ping was no longer in the mood to go to school and study.
