The current situation in the United States resembles a “domestic cold war,” a conservative said at a Dec. 20 rally organized by Turning Point USA. He called on conservatives to enter a “wartime mode” to prepare for the challenge.
“Turning Point USA is a conservative organization made up primarily of young students.
Dinesh D’Souza Speaking at Turning Point USA’s Dec. 20 rally, Dinesh D’Souza, a best-selling author and filmmaker, said the current situation in the U.S. resembles a “domestic cold war” in which the political left — to some extent, the right — is in the middle of the Cold War. –The political left – to some extent with the tacit approval of the right – has become “gangsterized.
Dusa believes it is time to form a new Republican Party for those who are willing to break away from the left-wing cultural establishment.
We need to get into a little bit of a wartime mode,” he said. Not because we’re inherently militaristic, but because that’s the reality of our situation.”
Dusa explained, “I mean, they (meaning the left) are going to go beyond the norm and subvert the normal rules of the game. For example, they want to shut down speech they don’t agree with, they want to manipulate legal and political institutions, they want to use the government’s police apparatus against their opponents.
“So this is a dark, but new, turning point in American politics. I think part of the political wisdom is to realize that that’s what’s happening. We need to have a response strategy that is adequate to meet that challenge.”
In his book, “United States of Socialism,” published this year, Dusa reveals how the left is using Venezuela’s socialist formula in the U.S. He documents the left’s various gangsterizing tendencies and exposes the socialist left’s tricks.
He argues that conservatives need to build their own schools and universities, create their own movies, and have their own comedians.
By doing so, Dusa says, “we create our own culture, and we live in it. Thanks to the Second Amendment (meaning gun ownership), we can defend it.”
In response to allegations of fraud in this year’s election, Dusa said it disenfranchised millions of voters.
Dusa explained, “The bedrock idea of democracy is that the loser doesn’t need to start a civil war because they have a chance to win next time.”
But if the loser feels the race is rigged and there is no chance of winning again, then there will be no more bets placed, Dusa said, “If the loser really feels that way, then the democracy will collapse.”
