Israel Morocco’s first direct flight Trump’s son-in-law Kushner on board to celebrate

The first direct business flight between Israel and Morocco took off from Tel Aviv today, with U.S. President Donald Trump‘s son-in-law and advisor Jared Kushner on board.

Kushner and Israeli National Security Adviser Meir Ben Shabbat led an official delegation on a commercial flight today from Tel Aviv to Rabat, Morocco, on Israel’s state-run El Al Airlines, where they will sign a series of agreements with Moroccan authorities.

Kushner and Bensabat’s scheduled trip, which includes a meeting with Morocco’s King Mohammed VI, is intended to showcase the Trump administration’s diplomatic achievements in the Middle East.

Morocco became the third Arab country to normalize relations with Israel this year, after the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain established diplomatic relations with Israel and Sudan pledged to follow suit, due to a U.S.-brokered agreement.

Before the flight took off, Kushner stressed at Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport (Ben Gurion) that the Arab League and Israel have created many business opportunities for both countries.

Before boarding the flight, Kushner said, “I hope that this flight to Morocco today will create an equal amount of momentum between Morocco and Israel.”

The flight arrived in Rabat on the same day with the word “peace” painted on its fuselage in Hebrew, Arabic and English, and the U.S. Embassy in Rabat webcast the flight’s landing.
