The outbreak of the Chinese communist virus (Neocoronavirus) in China is on the rise in all directions, with local cases breaking out in several provinces. The official number of confirmed cases alone reached 33 on Dec. 19. The situation in Liaoning, Heilongjiang and Beijing is worrisome.
Dalian, Liaoning province enters war time
Zhao Lian, deputy director of the Dalian health Commission in Liaoning province, announced at a briefing on the outbreak on Dec. 20 that the city’s medical institutions at all levels had immediately entered a wartime state for the prevention and control of the outbreak.
Zhao Lian said the city added one new confirmed local case on the 19th, a restaurant owner and chef who was a close contact of a previously asymptomatic local infected person; and 10 new asymptomatic infected persons, three of which were local cases.
Closed stores in Beijing
In Beijing, officials said at an afternoon briefing on Dec. 20 that two new confirmed cases were imported into the city on Dec. 19: Case 1 is a 52-year-old Russian male who arrived at Beijing Capital Airport on Dec. 10 on Air China Flight CA590 from Moscow; Case 2 is a 36-year-old Heilongjiang man who arrived at Beijing Capital Airport on Dec. 18 on Air China Flight CA946 from Pakistan, with 39 close contacts on the same flight and in his car.
Beijing has designated the Dashanzi branch of the Hanting Hotel in Chaoyang District as a medium-risk area after the city reported a confirmed case related to the Qingfeng baozi store in Chaoyang District on December 19.
The Dashanzi neighborhood around the medium-risk area is closed to all related stores.
The owner of a car dealership near the Hanting Hotel told the Epoch Times that the official forced closure has resulted in heavy losses for businesses. The owner of the car dealership also revealed that the man diagnosed in the official notification from Hong Kong is a Jilin man who stayed at the Hanting Hotel after 14 days of isolation and was tested positive, but the Jilin man infected another man who visited the Jinkelong and a clothing store inside the Dashanzi neighborhood, causing these stores to be closed, but no official notification was made about this man.
Weibo comments show that the widespread blockade has led to speculation that the actual epidemic is much worse than the official notification: “Tens of millions of people are restricted because of two people?”
In addition, the Propaganda Department of the Beijing Shijingshan District Committee informed that the district is in a “wartime state”.
Guangdong Guangzhou emergency
The town of Dongchong in Guangzhou’s Nansha District was immediately closed after a new confirmed local case was reported on December 20, with several villages forbidding anyone to leave and hospitals where the patient had been seen shutting down and conducting large-scale screening.
This new case is a 31-year-old female, is the entry personnel isolation hotel Puling Hotel handyman staff.
Heilongjiang explodes with 3 local asymptomatic cases
According to the official notification alone, Suifenhe City in Heilongjiang had 3 local cases on the 19th day.
The outside world found that these three people have three major points in common: middle-aged, unemployed, and all are close contacts of a certain patient surnamed Yang. In response, netizens expressed concern: “The employment situation is really bad now!” “This Yang is not a super infectious source, infected with a lot!” “Several people inside not necessarily who is the first to get it, just that Yang was the first to be found.”
The epidemic data communicated by the Chinese Communist authorities has been questioned by outsiders. But even Chinese experts who help the Chinese Communist Party have had to admit the current situation is dire. Zhang Boli, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and president of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, said in a recent article that a number of clusters of epidemics have occurred in many parts of China recently, with clusters in Heilongjiang, Shandong, Liaoning and Dalian even occurring more than once in a year.
According to Zhang Boli, the number of asymptomatic infections in several recent local clustering outbreaks has increased significantly, indicating a trend toward increased viral infectivity, with mid-December this year to mid-February next year still being a high-risk period.
