The leaked list of Shanghai’s 1.95 million party members was recently confirmed by Western society, and the outside world was shocked to discover that the Chinese Communist Party’s tentacles have penetrated into many corners of civilized society. The latest exclusive investigation by Ms. Sharon, a self-publisher, found that Yang Fujia, a veteran Communist Party member and former director of the Shanghai Institute of Atomic Energy of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, was president of the University of Nottingham in the United Kingdom for 12 years, and also “replicated” a Communist-led “University of Nottingham Ningbo” in mainland China. The University of Nottingham Ningbo”.
In mid-August this year, a news story about the leak of personal information of 1.95 million party members in Shanghai broke out on the Internet, and recently the IPAC (Inter-Parliamentary Policy Alliance on China) found that Chinese Communists were lurking in the British diplomatic service, multinational banks, high-end pharmaceutical companies, academic institutions and defense manufacturers after an investigation.
The University of Nottingham, one of the world’s top 100 universities and one of the UK’s leading public research universities, was “led” for 12 years by Yang Fujia, the former director of the Shanghai Institute of Atomic Energy of the Chinese Communist Academy of Sciences. Yang is currently the president of the University of Nottingham Ningbo, and he also holds the titles of former member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and former president of Fudan University.
Yang Fujia has been the president of a prestigious British university for 12 years
Professor Yang Fujia was appointed as the sixth president of the University of Nottingham in July 2001, and he remained in the UK until January 2013, Sharon’s Talks said, adding that this was the first time the media had exposed to Western society the inner workings of Chinese Communist infiltration at the University of Nottingham.
“Yang Fujia joined the CCP at the age of 19 and was one of the first two Chinese nuclear scientists selected by Beijing to work at the Niels Bohr Institute in Denmark, the world’s leading nuclear research institute. “Sharon said Yang Fujia spent two years in (Denmark) in 1963 as a visiting scholar, and “his eight-plus years of Communist Party membership gave him an advantage over other young scientists to be selected by the Communist Party.”
In an interview with mainland Chinese media, Yang Fujia revealed how during his time in Denmark, scientific research projects had to be requested and reported in detail to the CCP embassy, “The next year an American scientist offered to join us [in the research program]. I reported it to the embassy, and the embassy agreed.”
Then, out of “some consideration,” Yang gave up signing his name to the results of the collaboration to which he had made a major contribution, and let the American scientist at the U.S. Weapons Research Institute sit on his name, who was “very impressed” and began to return the favor. “This incident also opened the way for my future development, and he (the American scientist) later took the initiative to send me an invitation to visit, which led to two visits by Chinese delegations to the U.S. Weapons Institute.” Yang Fujia said.
“In 1983, Yu Ming, the father of the Chinese hydrogen bomb, participated in the visit. It was his only trip to the sea.” The article reads.

UNNC’s Chinese leadership are senior Communist Party members
While he was president of the University of Nottingham, Yang established the University of Nottingham Ningbo in China (UNNC) in 2004, which means that for eight years, Yang was president of both the University of Nottingham and UNNC.
UNNC has a party branch and the top three Chinese “leaders” of the university are all senior Communist Party members. In addition to Yang Fujia, the second-ranking member is Xu Yafen, the president of the University of Nottingham Ningbo. According to UNNC, Xu Yafen is a representative of the 11th Party Congress of Zhejiang Province, a member of the Zhejiang Provincial Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, and an outstanding member of the Party of Zhejiang Province, among other so-called “honorary titles”.
Ying Xiong, Secretary of the Party Committee of the University of Nottingham Ningbo, “has been awarded the titles of Excellent Party Member of Ningbo City and Industry Model of Zhejiang Province”, and he is also the Executive Director of the University of Nottingham Ningbo.

Sharon commented, “It is standard practice for the Chinese Communist regime to set up branches in schools and companies to control everything, from kindergartens to universities, from Alibaba to huawei. The CCP is like a beast whose limbs are spread out in an attempt to reach every corner of society.” “The CCP is especially vigilant about universities to prevent any budding of democratic ideas.”
Unfortunately, UNNC’s Communist background has not caused the slightest alarm to the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA) in the U.K. UNNC has been audited and accredited by the QAA, and the diploma obtained from UNNC has the same validity as a diploma issued by a U.K. university.
UNNC professor promotes Italy’s “One Belt, One Road”
Sharon also revealed that in addition to its infiltration in academia, UNNC is also active internationally as a helper in the implementation of Chinese Communist policies. For example, Michele Geraci, an Italian professor who has taught economics at UNNC for many years, was one of the key drivers who helped draft the framework for Italy’s participation in the Belt and Road Memorandum of Understanding.
“The Belt and Road is a highly controversial project internationally, with many countries calling it a “debt trap” for the Chinese Communist Party.

In June 2018, Geraci was given a high position in the Italian government, Undersecretary of State for Economic Development. He has been “very enthusiastic” about promoting deals between Italy and the CCP, including welcoming the CCP’s “cooperation” in various areas, even in key infrastructure. Grassi even called on Italy to exchange information with the CCP in the area of public security, amid widespread international criticism of the CCP’s surveillance of its people.
According to a November 2018 report by Germany’s Mercator Center for China Studies (MERICS), “He [Grassi] ridiculed Lufthansa’s plan to buy the troubled Italian airline, saying he would rather sell part of Italy’s flagship carrier to Chinese investors …… Grassi ignoring that in ‘private investments’ in China, Communist Party (CCP) officials are often directly involved in decision-making.”
Geraci, who was later “unemployed” in October 2019 after a reshuffle of the Conte government in Italy saw pro-CCP policies fall out of favor with Italian public opinion, recently announced his return to teaching at UNNC.
“The 2020 U.S. election showed us how badly the U.S. media and politicians have been corrupted by the Chinese Communist Party, and I believe the UK is even more corrupt.” Sharon said she will be sharing with the audience more cases of the Chinese Communist Party exerting influence in the West through spying, bribery and other means.
