On Saturday, December 19, Chinese voters in the San Gabriel Valley who support President Trump continued to take to the streets in solidarity. At 1:30pm, nearly 100 Chinese gathered at the intersection of Atlantic Blvd and Valley Blvd in Alhambra, waving banners and chanting “Stop the Steal”. For the third weekend in a row since December 5, there was a large anti-election stealing and pro-Trump event in the Chinese community.

Chinese Voters: Speak Out for Life
Ms. Ho, one of the organizers of the event, said that this is the third weekend in a row that Chinese people have held an event in the community to call for “Stop the Steal” and that the participants have been very enthusiastic, mostly through social media platforms. The first event had more than 200 participants; the second week was expected to be a break, but there was still a lot of feedback from people who wanted to take to the streets to express their opinions, so it was decided to organize the event on the spot, and there were more than 100 participants that day. She said, “Some people had to work today, otherwise there would have been more participants.”
Ms. Ho has immigrated to the U.S. for 23 years, and although she used to care about U.S. politics, she seldom participated in actual activities, but this presidential election triggered her and many Chinese to take to the streets to express their voices. She said, “We are not engaging in politics, this is something that is closely related to our lives, not just a political issue.”
Ms. Ho believes that most Asians work hard, save hard and live in America but rarely express their opinions. She said, “We were just burying our heads in serious work, but now we must stand up for our personal safety and defend our rights.” Although it is a very small voice, it must show the community at large that there are people who are still holding out, and that no matter how much most media outlets cover up the truth, there are still conscientious media outlets reporting the facts and speaking out for grassroots voters without interference from public opinion or mainstream media.
America cannot be reduced to Venezuela
Mr. Fang, an immigrant to the United States for more than 20 years, believes that if Biden’s policies are followed, the United States could soon become Venezuela. He said, “Many people think socialism is good, but they don’t understand how miserable life is under an authoritarian system.” There are many young people in the U.S. who have been brainwashed with a leftist education, and the deliberate suppression and smearing of President Trump by mainstream media and social media sites has led to serious differences of opinion among Americans.
Mr. Fang said, “America is in a huge mess! Trump clearly won, but it was stolen by the Democratic Party. But now all kinds of issues are surfacing for Trump to deal with all at once.” He believes that after four years of his re-election to power, President Trump will return a clean judicial system to the United States, so that American society can thrive and the United States must not be reduced to Venezuela.
He said, “Just look at California, the Democratic Party’s policies have made California worse and worse, with big companies leaving and more and more hoboes and illegal immigrants.” The main reason so many Chinese came out to protest election fraud this time, besides upholding justice, is because Biden’s policies hurt all American people, and are even more unfriendly to the Chinese, who are mostly middle class.
Although the federal Supreme Court recently rejected the presidential election results in four states, including Texas, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan and Wisconsin, Mr. Fang is still confident, saying, “The American judicial system is rotten, the courts at all levels do not look at this evidence, and the Supreme Court also rejected it, but we, the people, stand up, we demand a complete reform of the American judicial and election system.” He believes that the people’s voice will be heard, no matter how politicians or media manipulate public opinion, the law will definitely return a clean slate to President Trump in the end.
Immigrants from Hong Kong: It is more important to stand up for themselves at critical times
Eva, who has immigrated to the United States for nearly three decades, said, “Of course I have to come and stand up for fairness and justice! This country is my country, when I first arrived in the United States in 1993, I just got off the plane and thought: how can this country be so free.” She believes that freedom is not easy to come by, nor is it free, and that this is the most critical time for America, not to support President Trump personally, but to work for the electoral system that is the cornerstone of American democracy. “The tougher and darker the times, the more we should come out. In history we owe it to this country if we don’t do our part, if we should come out and don’t come out.”
Eva, a Hong Kong immigrant, is also concerned that a Biden administration would lean toward the Chinese economy and would not be able to be as tough and fearless of Chinese Communist pressure as President Trump. She said, “Many Hong Kong people are pinning their hopes on the U.S. What Hong Kong people need is freedom and human rights.” It would be really dangerous if even the United States, the base of freedom and democracy, is eroded.
For her children who disagree with her, Eva said, “I don’t even talk to them, I prove it with my actions.” Because of the manipulation of the election by the media, many people have taken the “fake news” as true, Eva said, “We know it’s true, so we should stand up and let the facts speak for themselves.”
Man’s violent seizure of flag causes outrage
Shortly after the event began, a man in his thirties on a motorcycle roared by, not only taunting people who were calling for an end to election theft, but even violently grabbing the flag. Ms. Ho said the man had tried to take away many flags, but ended up taking only one pro-President Trump flag, but he later circled back around and screamed.
Ms. Liu Fenglan, a lawyer, said most people were still in the back getting ready and only a few were standing on the street. She was outraged by the man’s behavior, but also more determined to support President Trump. She said, “This shows the quality of people who oppose Trump, and these people must not be allowed to run amok and steal American democracy.”
The election is not a personal success or failure but a battle between good and evil
Mr. Xu, who has been an immigrant to the U.S. for nearly 50 years, said the presidential election is a showdown for “justice,” saying, “This is a war for all of humanity.” And it’s not just about President Trump’s personal success or failure; the outcome of the election will not only affect the United States, but also the world. Mr. Hsu said, “What we face today is a confrontation between freedom and tyranny, rule of law and corruption, a battle between good and evil.”
Jenny Chen, who lives in Torrance, has been driving to the San Gabriel Valley Chinese community for three weeks to join the campaign to stand in solidarity with Trump and stop the election theft. She immigrated to the United States from Taiwan in 1984 and has long been accustomed to the smooth life of American society, but Jenny Chen believes that the United States is now like Moses leading his people out of Egypt, with his pursuers behind him and the Red Sea in front of him, the most critical time. She said, “We will not be discouraged because America is a nation that believes in God, and there will be miracles in the end.”
