On Saturday afternoon, people in every state in the United States once again launched rallies in support of President Trump (Trump), calling for Stop the Steal, this time with the slogan “Stop the coup”, for the seventh consecutive week in major cities across the United States.
And at the Student Action Summit, the annual convention of the conservative Republican Party in Florida, the crowd was enthusiastic and kept cheering “Four more years!” Trump himself called on his supporters to attend a huge protest rally in Washington, D.C., on Jan. 6, 2021.
On December 19, Trump again tweeted that Biden had lost six swing states.
In particular, a heavyweight report released by White House trade adviser Peter Navarro on Feb. 17 exhaustively exposed the anomalies of the election, while pointing out that multiple institutions, including the legislative, judicial and media, have joined forces with each other to suppress and distort the truth. Following the release of Navarro’s comprehensive, detailed, and compelling report, more and more members of Congress and voters from all walks of life are coming forward to defend the Constitution and election integrity as the fraud becomes more alarming.
U.S. Senator Marsha Blackburn (D-CA) said some Democrats have been closely colluding with the Chinese Communist Party, while Franklin Graham, a well-known Christian evangelist, said he is coming to realize that Trump has suffered various injustices during his presidency, and he now recognizes that the election results were stolen.
The Trump team is expected to take more legal action in Pennsylvania, and attorney Lin Wood has filed a lawsuit against the Georgia Secretary of State. In addition to the legal efforts, there have been calls for President Trump to use the Insurrection Act of 1807 to resolve the current dilemma. The Act allows the president to send troops to quell a rebellion if it makes “the enforcement of the laws of the United States by the ordinary course of justice impracticable.
On Dec. 17, the APT hacking group behind the Sunwind leak compromised the systems that maintain the National Nuclear Security Administration network, affecting at least six federal agencies. Trump said Saturday that hackers may have compromised voting machines during the November election, according to an Energy Department spokesman, who also criticized the media for ignoring that the hacks may have originated with the Chinese Communist Party.
The following is a live update on the U.S. election situation.
Navarro: Because of Trump, we’ve all become hawks against the Chinese Communist Party
As tensions between the U.S. and China continue to rise, White House trade adviser Peter Navarro said President Trump has pushed Congress to take a tougher bipartisan stance against Beijing and everyone is now a hawk against the Communist Party.
Navarro made the remarks during an appearance on Fox & Friends Weekend on Sunday. He said one of Donald Trump’s great achievements was to highlight the important concept that China (the Chinese Communist Party) is a major threat and an existential threat to the United States. “Now, we’re all hawks on China (the Chinese Communist Party), and I think it’s really important that we come together as a nation.”
The Trump administration has been strongly holding the Chinese Communist Party responsible for the pandemic since the virus (coronavirus) came out of Wuhan, China, and swept the world. In response, Navarro said the CCP is not only trying to suppress the U.S. economy, but is also responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Americans.
Gingrich: Why I Don’t Recognize Biden for President
Former U.S. House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.) published an article on the Newsmax website on Dec. 19, “I am deeply concerned for America, but will never give up.
He said, “I was asked why I did not recognize Biden’s victory in the 2020 election, and after careful consideration I realized that my deep-seated anger and fear came from the entire election environment, something I had never experienced in my public affairs career of the past 60 years.
Top Senate Republican: Stimulus Bill on Track for Today
Senate Republican leadership John Barrasso (R-Texas) said he is optimistic that the Senate will reach a stimulus relief bill by the end of Sunday.
Barrasso told Fox News, “This can be done today, without further delay. We’re not leaving (the Capitol) until we get relief for the American people.” Barrasso’s comments come as House and Senate leaders say a deal is imminent.
He said, “People are hurting, people need help, and we need to do two things to write the final chapter of the coronavirus (the Chinese Communist virus). One is to get people vaccinated. We’re doing that now – 20 million people will be vaccinated by the New Year – but we need to get help for the American people.”
Barrasso said Sunday that the final agreement will include a direct payment of $600 and an extension of the small business loan program, known as the PPP payroll protection program, established during the CARES Act in March. This time, the rules are a bit more specific; businesses must have fewer than 300 employees and they must actually be making a loss.
Trump Calls on Congress to Pass Stimulus Bill
President Trump called on Congress early Sunday (Dec. 20) to pass a bill that includes direct payments for the epidemic stimulus economy.
“Why won’t Congress give our people a stimulus (economic) bill? It’s not their fault, it’s the Communist Party’s fault. Hurry up and finish the bill and give them more money directly.” Trump tweeted a reference to the Chinese Communist virus (Wuhan pneumonia) that caused the global pandemic.
Senators Josh Hawley (R-Texas) and Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) worked together to include the stimulus payment in the bill, and the final bill will reportedly include a $600 stimulus payment.
Before Trump’s tweet, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) said the Senate and House could vote on the $900 billion stimulus measure as early as Sunday, noting that lawmakers are close to reaching an agreement.
U.S. Rep. Matt Gaetz to Challenge Electoral College Vote
U.S. Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) said Saturday (Dec. 19) that he plans to challenge the Electoral College votes in swing states when they are counted during a joint session of Congress on Jan. 6.
Speaking at the Turning Point USA Student Action Summit, Gaetz said, “On Jan. 6, I’m going to join the fighters in Congress as we go against the voters in states that don’t have clean elections.”
The challenge was first proposed by Rep. Mo Brooks (R-AL), who called on congressional Republicans to oppose the Electoral College voting results in swing states when they meet in January, and there are now Republican lawmakers in both chambers who have stated their participation or are open to the action.
Objections during the joint session must be made in writing by at least one member of the House of Representatives and one member of the Senate. If the objection meets the requirements, the joint session is suspended and each chamber retires to its own chamber for a maximum of two hours of debate on the issue. The House and Senate would then vote to accept or reject the objection, respectively.
Flynn: Foreign intelligence agencies willing to provide evidence to Trump
Former national security adviser Michael Flynn (R-Fla.) said he was provided information about foreign intelligence agencies spying on the U.S. election on Nov. 3 and was willing to provide evidence to President Trump (R-Texas).
“We now have evidence that foreign countries observed our electoral system on Nov. 3 and the attacks that occurred during the election process,” Flynn told Fox News on Friday, “so we now have that evidence, and we received it today.”
He did not elaborate on which foreign intelligence agencies were involved or how he obtained the information, or on the nature of the alleged attack on the electoral system.
But Flynn said foreign governments were willing to provide the evidence directly to the president and that “there are foreign partners and allies who are willing to help us.”
The Epoch Times reached out to the White House and the Trump campaign for comment on Flynn’s remarks.
Spokesman: Biden won’t discuss Hunt probe with attorney general candidates
A spokesman for Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden said Sunday that he will not discuss the federal investigation into his son with any of the attorney general candidates.
Biden has declared his victory in the Nov. 3 election and has been planning his future cabinet picks. Incumbent President Trump, for his part, has questioned the election results. The Epoch Times will not announce the final results until the legal process is complete.
Biden’s spokesman, Jen Psaki, said on Fox Sunday that Biden “will not discuss the investigation of his son with any of the attorney general candidates.”
“He will not discuss it with anyone he is considering for that role, and he will not discuss it with a future attorney general. It will be up to the purview of the future attorney general in his administration to decide how to handle any investigation.” The spokesman added.
Psaki also said Biden would oversee an “independent” Justice Department and that he was “looking for someone with the highest integrity” to do so.
YouTube removes Trump team lawyer’s Senate hearing testimony
Jesse Binnall, a lawyer for President Trump’s campaign, said YouTube removed his opening statement on election fraud from a Senate homeland security hearing.
Binnall disclosed on Twitter late Saturday night (Dec. 19), “YouTube decided to take my opening statement in the federal (Senate), which were statements I made under oath based on corroborating evidence, and (YouTube felt) it was too dangerous for you to watch, and to this day, they removed it. “
“Our evidence has never been refuted, it has just been ignored. Why is Google so afraid of the truth?” Binal questioned at the end of the tweet.
The Epoch Times contacted YouTube, which is owned by Google, for comment.
Giuliani: Have team check voting machines to prove Trump won
Speaking on Steve Bannon’s “War Room” Saturday (Dec. 19), Giuliani said the Maricopa County (Ariz.) Board of Supervisors voted to deny a subpoena to inspect voting machines, “and we got a warrant to search all the machines. Why wouldn’t you ever want people to look at voting machines? Voting machines aren’t private (property).”
Giuliani said voting machines don’t store medical personal information and illegal information, so “we don’t see who you’re voting for, it’s public information, (it) doesn’t even belong to you. The reason you’re resisting us checking these machines is because you know you’re doing something improper.”
On Friday, Maricopa County’s Board of Supervisors voted 4-1 not to comply with a subpoena issued by the Arizona Senate for a voting machine audit and chose to file a lawsuit.
The subpoena was issued by state Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Eddie Farnsworth, a Republican, for an audit of the county’s Dominion Voting Systems machines and ballots, with a deadline of 5 p.m. Dec. 18.
Giuliani: Trump team to use different tactics Focus on voting machines
Giuliani said the team will use a different strategy, focusing more on the voting machines used during the Nov. 3 election.
“We were meeting almost all day yesterday off and on, and starting this morning (Dec. 19), (the team) has a completely different strategy.” Giuliani said. “That strategy will focus a lot of energy on some of the evidence that the team has on (voting) machines.”
Giuliani said Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey (R) and Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp (D) are suspected of cover-ups in their respective states. He added that the Trump team wants to audit the voting machines in Pennsylvania, Arizona, Georgia and Michigan.
“I think we can get this done despite the boycott and the cover-up by the Republican governor, the guy in Arizona and the guy in Georgia – if we have their cooperation, we’ll be done by Monday,” Giuliani said.
“I’m tired of dealing with them. We’re just pushing them aside, and I think you’re going to see a different strategy employed this weekend.”
Multiple congressional caucuses vie for cabinet representation Biden under pressure
The Congressional Hispanic Caucus (Caucus) put more pressure on Biden on Friday (Dec. 18) to add Latina women representatives to his Cabinet. Not only that, but Biden is also facing pressure from other congressional caucuses to add their own representatives to his cabinet.
In a letter sent to Biden on Friday night (Dec. 18), the Congressional Hispanic Caucus endorsed Biden’s proposed nominations of Alejandro Mayorkas to be secretary of homeland security and California Attorney General Xavier Becerra to be secretary of the U.S. Department of health and Human Services. Both men have Latino backgrounds. But in its letter, the Hispanic Caucus stressed the importance of adding a Latina woman to the Cabinet list.
“We believe that the next Cabinet must reflect the diverse communities, particularly the Latino community, that have been driving America’s business and economic growth for many years.” The letter said, “In addition, it is imperative that a female Latina be nominated to a top cabinet position.”
The letter, signed by 12 people, notes that Biden has not yet settled on a nominee for secretary of education and director of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).
Arizona Vows to Fight to the End to Stop Voter Theft Rally
On Saturday (Dec. 19), the “Stop Voter Theft, Support President Trump” protest rally was held in Phoenix, Arizona, with several lawmakers appearing and speaking at the rally. They said they do not accept the fraudulent results of the election and will fight for the fairness of the U.S. elections.
Arizona Senate Majority Whip Sonny Borrelli, a member of the state Judiciary Committee, said the Democratic Party is trying to turn America into a communist society, and elected officials in several Arizona counties are using their positions to suppress the truth and destroy the integrity of the election. He vowed to fight for the integrity and fairness of the election and never give up.
For his part, Arizona Congressman Mark Finchem (R) revealed that the state’s House and Senate are gathering evidence of general election fraud to push for an alternative electoral college vote in a joint session of Congress on Jan. 6.
Arizona Congressman Paul Gosar (R) said a challenge to the current Presidential Electoral College vote results will be filed on Jan. 6. He called on the people to make sure that the community hears the voice of support for President Trump in every way possible.
Ivanka to campaign in Joe State on Monday
Ivanka Trump, a senior White House adviser and Trump’s eldest daughter, announced she will travel to Georgia on Monday (Dec. 21) to campaign for two Republican senators in the Jan. 5 revival. Ivanka retweeted Senator Loeffler’s tweet Sunday morning with the following message.
“All eyes are on Georgia. Excited to be joining Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue (on the campaign trail) tomorrow. Join us!!!”
“Now is the time to stay united and save our state. Georgians, vote early!”
Loeffler tweeted his appreciation for Ivanka’s full support and ability to come to Joe State to campaign.
“I’m excited to welcome Ivanka Trump back to Georgia on Monday (to help) Perdue and me campaign together! This is a tough time to save our country, and I’m honored to have her full support.”
Trump to campaign in Joe State after New Year’s
President Trump said in a late-night post Saturday that he will travel to Georgia on Jan. 4 for a rally to help two Republican senators from Joe State in their Jan. 5 endorsements.
“We were treated so badly in Georgia by a ‘Republican’ governor and a ‘Republican’ secretary of state that we have to win big on Jan. 5 for two great men, Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue I’m hosting a big rally for them on Monday night, Jan. 4. It’s going to be a win!”
Biden Announces Interior and Energy Secretaries
Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden announced his nominees for the climate and energy teams on Saturday (Dec. 19), but it is still difficult to flip Trump’s (Trump’s) policies and return to the Paris climate agreement.
Biden announced Saturday that New Mexico Congressman Deb Haaland (Deb Haaland) as Secretary of the Interior and former Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm (Jennifer Granholm) as Secretary of Energy.
In addition, Biden announced Michael Regan of the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality as the nominee for head of the Environmental Protection Agency. If confirmed by the Senate, Regan would be the first African-American to hold the post.
Biden also nominated environmental lawyer Brenda Mallory to chair the White House Council on Environmental Quality, according to CNN.
Biden has previously nominated former EPA head Gina McCarthy as national climate adviser, with New York State Deputy Commissioner for Energy and Environment Ali Zaidi serving as McCarthy’s deputy.
The White House post does not require Senate confirmation. And former Secretary of State John Kerry has previously been selected as Biden’s special envoy on climate change.
Former WI Judge: Court System and Lawyers Deeply Intimidated by Left
A former Wisconsin judge, James Troupis, told a Dec. 16 Senate hearing on election fraud that intimidation from the left has prevented lawyers and judges from receiving and hearing cases of election fraud.
Troupis is currently representing the Trump team in election fraud legal matters in Wisconsin.
“We have to acknowledge that the court system has been deeply intimidated by the left, just as lawyers have been intimidated.” Trumpis told lawmakers present at a Dec. 16 hearing of the federal Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, “It’s a sad, sad state of affairs.”
The Senate hearing was designed to hear about election “irregularities” in the 2020 election. During the hearing, several witnesses testified about a string of election fraud in several contested states.
“One of the reasons I was called in is because almost every major law firm in this country and in this city has refused to represent the president. Not because his claims lack legal merit (we’ve certainly proven there is), but because the environment created by the left intimidates the lawyers so they can’t be here (to represent Trump). Those big law firm lawyers aren’t here precisely because they’ve been ordered by their governing boards and others to say, ‘You can’t take those cases. The reason is, our clients, or the Democrats, or the incoming administration will hold a grudge, and they will hold that against you.'” Trumpis said.
“As a former judge, I’m outraged by that.” He said.
Arizona lawmaker: will challenge Electoral College vote in Congress
“There is a serious problem of fraud in this election.” Arizona Congressman Paul Gosar (R) said he will challenge the results of the current presidential Electoral College vote on Jan. 6. He called on the people to make sure that the community hears the voice of support for President Trump in every way possible.
Paul Gosar delivers the above message at the “Stop Voter Theft, Support President Trump” rally in Phoenix, Arizona, on December 19, 2020.
Arizona Rep. Anthony Kern (D) is one of the Republican Electoral College members who voted for Trump and Pence in Arizona. He said Biden’s so-called victory was absolutely stolen. The proof is out there. God is in control and waiting for the people to step up to the plate. By praying to God, people will make a huge difference in America.
Earlier, Gosala had called on every member of Congress to challenge the results of the current Presidential Electoral College vote on Jan. 6. “In fact, I’ll be leading Arizona with Mo Brooks (R-Ariz.), and I’m sure Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.) will be with me.”
Trump: Martial law is fake news
Many Trump supporters are currently calling for the president to impose martial law, but Trump tweeted Saturday that “martial law = fake news.”
Trump has repeatedly said that the 2020 election was the “biggest election fraud” in U.S. history, and said Biden lost in six swing states.
He called on the Republican Party to fight to the end, ” Senate Majority Leader McConnell and Republican senators must be tougher or the Republican Party will cease to exist. We won the presidential election by a wide margin. Fight for it. Don’t let them (Democrats) take it away!”
Biden’s climate policies will result in the loss of millions of jobs
Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden (D-N.Y.) announced his nominees for the climate and energy team on Saturday (Dec. 19). Biden’s energy policies are largely a component of the Green New Deal led by radical Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC).
Experts’ straightforward interpretations of Biden’s policies are: zero fossil fuels by 2035 would mean the loss of millions of high-paying oil extraction jobs in states like Pennsylvania, Ohio and Texas; investment in green and clean energy would mean the closure of traditional energy industries; and the development of electric vehicles would mean a reshuffling of the traditional auto industry, adding to the environmental burden of those industries.
Prosecutor Durham makes significant progress in Russia probe
U.S. media reported that Special Counsel John Durham is further investigating the counter-investigation into the Russia investigation that began in 2016 against Trump and the Trump campaign, according to Attorney General William Barr.
An update on Durham’s progress has been provided almost entirely by Barr to the public. The investigation is focused on why the FBI’s investigation into Trump and his associates is riddled with errors and malfeasance.
Barr said of this in a recent interview, “I understand the frustration about the question of whether it was fast enough, but there are other prosecutors who are investigating the China (Communist Party of China) issue, and they don’t always get immediate results.”
U.S. Senator: Some Democrats have serious collusion with Chinese Communist Party
U.S. Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-Texas) said Dec. 19 that some Democrats have been “closely colluding with the Chinese government (CCP) in serious ways, but not joining Republicans in pursuing issues that threaten national security, such as Democratic Rep. Swalwell (D-Mich.) had an affair with a female Chinese Communist spy.”
Blackburn said the issue is no longer limited to Swalwell alone. “Georgia U.S. Senate candidate Jon Ossoff (D) is a socialist working for a trust fund, a privileged young man with little workplace experience. He worked for a media company run by the Chinese Communist Party, but this primary he hid that experience, changed his records, and claimed he was paid no more than $5,000.”
Blackburn said these kinds of things beg the question of what the relationship between the Democratic Party and the Chinese Communist Party really is. If Biden becomes president and there is friction between the U.S. and China, will Biden continue to cover up the problem for the sake of his son, and will he be willing to protect U.S. sovereignty from the Chinese Communist Party?
2020 Conservative Student Summit: Many Celebrity Speakers
For four consecutive days, December 19-22, at the Palm Beach County Convention Center in West Palm Beach, Florida, the young Republican conservative Turning Point USA (TPUSA) held its “2020 Student Action Summit” and invited Vice President Pence, Congressman Ted Cruz, attorney Giuliani, and Donald Trump Jr. to speak.
TPUSA founder Charlie Kirk promised young conservatives that they would learn how to fight socialism on college campuses at TPUSA’s annual 2020 Student Action Summit this weekend.
At Saturday’s summit, the crowd was enthusiastic, chanting “Four more years!” When the speaker mentioned that Biden was not “president-elect,” there was a round of applause.
Author of “Constitutional Studies” Explains the Insurrection Act
With many Trump supporters calling for the president to use the Insurrection Act, Paul Engel, author of the Constitution Study, explained more about the bill. He told NTD that the Insurrection Act is meant to enforce the law, not replace it.
“This (the Insurrection Act) is different than Martial Law. It’s how the federal government assists states that have insurgencies, local violence, inability to make and enforce their own state laws, or because of what’s going on in the state – whether it’s an insurgency or some other disturbance. The federal government can’t enforce their laws.” Engel said to NTD.
But in the case of this election, Engel said, it would be a violation of his or her state’s constitution for states to make moves such as changing voting laws or encouraging illegal voting just before the election.
Joe Gov. makes surprise appearance at White House gala
In a surprise appearance at the White House Christmas party Friday (Dec. 18), even lawyers for the Trump campaign were surprised by Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp’s surprise appearance amid calls for anti-election theft across the country.
In a tweet on social media Friday night, Kemp said he traveled to the White House on Friday with his daughter to attend the Christmas party.
“Lucy and I had a great time at the White House Christmas party today. Merry Christmas to all!” Kemp tweeted. Georgia has seen multiple vote counting scandals erupt in the 2020 election, with officials’ past three counts lacking transparency and not checking signatures, sparking a high level of public distrust in the state’s election results.
The news of Kemp’s invitation to the White House gala surprised Jenna Ellis, a lawyer for the Trump campaign. Ellis replied to Kemp’s tweet on the 18th saying, “Really?”
“Stand up for Trump to destroy the Communist Party” Two thousand people in Taiwan braved the rain to support Trump
On Dec. 19, 2020, people in Taiwan held a rally in Xinyi Square in Taipei City to support Trump and destroy the Communist Party. Despite the cold and wet weather, nearly 2,000 Taiwanese people participated in the march.
The crowd held various signs and banners, hoping to express their support for President Trump’s anti-election fraud and anti-communist sentiments. Rear Admiral Yu Tsung-ki, an alternate political warfare major general and adjunct assistant professor in the Department of Foreign Affairs at National Chengchi University, said, “Seeing so many Taiwanese stand up for Trump when so many people have turned away from him “proves that Taiwanese are unrealistic and have the conviction to stick to what is right from beginning to end.”
“Taiwanese people stand up for Trump, the Chinese Communist Party knows it must be very unpleasant, but we are not afraid.” Yu Tsung-ki believes that it is the lack of fear of the Chinese Communist Party that makes the Taiwanese different, “Taiwanese develop their own defense force on their own terms, and at the same time have the courage to stand up for Trump, which is the guarantee for Taiwan to gain security.”
Trump appoints 1776 committee to counter Newseum 1619 project
President Donald Trump on Friday (Dec. 19) officially announced the 1776 Commission, which will focus on promoting patriotic education to teach American children about the history and principles of the United States and counter the 1619 Project proposed by the New York Times Magazine.
The White House issued a statement Friday saying, “The President is pleased to welcome these great Americans he intends to appoint to the 1776 Commission. As our nation enters the 250th anniversary of our glorious independence, many of America’s schoolchildren are tragically being taught to hate our founding, to hate our history and to hate our country.
The 1776 Commission was formed to, among other things, counter the New York Times Magazine’s “1619 Project,” which is accused of falsifying American history. The so-called “1619 Project” argues that American history began with the arrival of the first African slaves in the North American colonies in 1619, and that for 400 years after that, it was black Americans who struggled to achieve the founding ideals of the United States – freedom and equality. — and struggled to achieve them.
Trump Signs Foreign Company Accountability Act, Downgrades Chinese Companies for Failure to Comply
President Donald Trump signed into law on Friday (Dec. 18) bipartisan legislation that would force foreign companies listed on U.S. exchanges to comply with U.S. accounting rules. The law, when it hits the road, could lead to the delisting of Chinese companies from U.S. exchanges.
The bill, known as the Holding Foreign Companies Accountable Act, would require Chinese companies to comply with U.S. auditing and reporting standards or be delisted from U.S. stock exchanges. The bill passed the House of Representatives unanimously earlier this month and the Senate by unanimous consent in May.
It would require foreign companies to be delisted from U.S. exchanges if they fail to comply with Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) audits for three consecutive years. The rule also applies to unlisted stocks traded over the counter (OTC).
The measure affects Chinese companies such as Alibaba Group Holding (NYSE: Baba), Jingdong (Nasdaq: JD) and China Mobile (NYSE: CHL). Those companies that can’t be audited by the commission must also make sure they aren’t controlled or owned by a foreign government.
U.S. Energy Department Bans Key Power Companies from Buying Chinese Equipment
U.S. Energy Secretary Dan Brouillette issued an order Thursday (Dec. 17) prohibiting utilities responsible for supplying critical defense facilities from purchasing and installing equipment imported from China for their power systems. The order prohibits utilities responsible for supplying U.S. critical defense facilities from procuring specific large power system equipment from China because it poses a risk to the safety or resilience of the U.S. large power system, critical infrastructure, and the safety and security of the economy, the nation or the people.
The large power system is critical to the nation’s energy security, national defense, emergency services, critical infrastructure, and economy. It is a large interconnected electrical system consisting of generation and transmission facilities and their control systems.
According to the White House, the equipment of the Large Power System includes equipment used in substations, control rooms, or power plants of the high-capacity electric system, including nuclear reactors, capacitors, substation transformers, large generators and backup generators, and other equipment.
