Ivanka to campaign for two Republican senators in Joe

Ivanka, a White House adviser and President Trump’s eldest daughter, will travel to Georgia on Monday (Dec. 21) to campaign for the re-election of Republican U.S. Senators Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue.

The Georgia Republican Party said in an emailed statement that Ivanka, with the help of the Republican-majority state Senate, will be at the rally to highlight the historic accomplishments of the Trump administration and to make clear to voters the importance of voting in Georgia’s Jan. 5 U.S. Senate confirmation election.

On the same day, Democratic Senator Kamala Harris (D-GA) plans to campaign for her Democratic rival.

According to the Georgia Republican Party, Ivanka will be stopping in Milton, Suwanee and Walton County, Georgia on Monday.

According to Atlanta radio station 95.5 WSB, He will be in Columbus and Suwanee to campaign for Democratic candidates.

Georgia will hold a U.S. Senate rematch on Jan. 5, with Republican Sen. Perdue running against Democrat Jon Ossoff and Republican Sen. Loeffler facing off against Democrat Raphael Warnock. Both seats are critical to both Republicans and Democrats. Republicans need to win at least one of these seats in order to maintain a majority in the new Congress.

Early in-person and absentee voting has already begun in Georgia. More than 900,000 people have already voted in the two re-run elections, about half of them by mail, according to the latest figures from the state.

Vice President Mike Pence held rallies in Columbus and Macon on Thursday (Dec. 17) to campaign for Loeffler and Perdue and urged voters to make sure the two lawmakers are re-elected successfully.

Pence said Republicans must hold on to the Senate majority.

“We need to send them back because Republicans holding a majority in the Senate may be the last line of defense to preserve everything we’ve done to defend this country, to revitalize our economy, to preserve the God-given freedoms we hold so dear, Pence said.
