President Trump has also won praise from Democrats for his accomplishments in promoting the development of the Chinese Communist virus. On Thursday (17), Sen. Dick Durbin, the senior Illinois Democrat who has often railed against the Trump administration, said Operation Warp Speed has been a remarkable success.
In mid-May, Trump announced Operation Warp Speed, a plan to integrate military expertise, public and private research and the pharmaceutical industry to produce a vaccine against the Chinese Communist virus within 12 to 18 months, in order to speed up the development of the vaccine and enable mass manufacturing and sales. The project exceeded expectations and was a success in less than a year.
“‘Operation Extreme’ looks to be a huge success, and I pray that is the case. While I’m often critical of this administration, they organized effectively and delivered the vaccine in a timely manner, almost at an amazing pace, as we faced this pandemic, and I want to give them credit for doing that.” Durbin said in the Senate.
(Pfizer) had announced in late November that the vaccine it produces will be available in mid-December. The company predicts that 40 million doses of the vaccine will be ready by the end of 2020.
“Moncef Slaoui, chief scientific advisor for Operation Fast, also said that in addition to the vaccine produced by Pfizer, another 20 million doses of the vaccine produced by Moderna are expected to be distributed by the end of December.
Moderna received $4.1 billion in federal funding for vaccine development, clinical trials and production, according to the U.S. Department of health and Human Services (HHS) website.
Left Media Microsoft-NBC host Joe Scarborough, a longtime Trump critic, also praised Operation Fast Track as an “absolute success” during his Nov. 25 show.
In early November, CNN host Jake Tapper also praised the Trump administration. Following the news of Moderna’s upcoming vaccine launch, Tapper said Operation Fast Track was “an unparalleled success. It’s a success that can’t be ignored, he noted, and people should recognize that.
For political purposes, Democrats have been delaying the Communist Party’s viral relief program. In an interview with CNN last Tuesday, Democratic Senator Durbin admitted that Democrats have been dragging their feet on approving the Communist Party’s viral relief program “because there’s an election coming up.
