Although Democratic presidential candidate and former U.S. Vice President Joe Biden has refused to acknowledge his involvement in his son Hunter Biden’s company, text messages released Thursday (Dec. 17) by the U.S. media Fox News indicate that Hunter had pulled his father Biden into the company in order to increase his family’s weight in China Eagle, and that Hunter had also helped Biden hold a 10 percent stake in the company. The company’s shareholding was also 10%. The information is said to have been mentioned in the previous Hunt’s hard drive case.
On Wednesday (Dec. 16), Fox News released a report with a related text message confirming that Hunt had sent greetings to Chinese Communist Party businessman and CEFC Chairman Ye Jianming in the name of the entire family, and asked him for $10 million for “consulting services” for Huaxin and the formation of the Huaying joint venture. Thursday’s report is said to be a follow-up to Wednesday’s report.
Although Andrew Bates, a spokesman for the Biden camp, claimed in October that Biden had never considered getting involved in any of his family’s businesses or any overseas business, nor had he ever held stock in such businesses or had family members hold shares instead. But transcripts of text messages from April 30, 2017, to May 20, 2017, between James Gilliar, Hunt’s former partner, and Tony Bobulinsiki, the original CEO, released by Fox on Dec. 17, show that in an effort to make Warhawk look more like a family company, Hunt, Gilliar invited family members Jim Biden and Joe Biden to join Warhawk.
The text messages relate to a critical period of time when Hunter, Jem, Gillia, Bobrinski and Rob Walker were planning the Sinohawk company with Watson.
Hunter invited his uncle Jim to join the company
In the process of planning Sinohawk, the report said, Gilia and Hunter were preparing to hold a meeting with Watson executives on July 7, 2017. Gilia then considered pulling Hunter’s uncles, Jim and Biden, into the company.
Bobrinski sent a text message to Gillia on April 30, 2017, writing, “Since Jim Biden is not a negotiator, but it appears he is a focal point, what kind of agreement have we reached with Jim?
Ghilya replied, “With this guy Hunter, it’s best to have a back-up figure who will be strong to feature in our deal with the Chinese (Communist) side because it makes our company really look like a family business, and I like that guy (Jim).”
Gillia said on April 30, 2017 that being able to bring Hunt’s uncle Jim into the company would enhance the Biden family’s weight in the company, while strengthening the “character” of the company’s family firm. (Image source: Web screenshot)
Gilya then sent a text message to Bobrinsky on May 4, urging him to list the names of the U.S. members who would attend the summit. Gilya’s request was that the list needed to match Ye’s official position and have access to top Communist Party officials and money, and that it needed to strengthen the weight of the Biden family members, which he believed would also strengthen the weight of their U.S. company.
On May 5 Gilyea sent a text message to Bobrinsky, writing, “I think Biden may attend on the 7th and I hope he will be able to attend.”
To which Bobrinski replied the same day, “I informed Jim that obviously if he (Jim) can go to the conference, he should go to the conference.” To which Ghilya replied, “I agree with you.”
The follow-up invitation did not ultimately come to fruition, but reports indicate that more than 10 days later, Hunter’s father, Joe Biden, also agreed to get involved in Hunter’s business.
Gillia text messages show Hunter successfully lobbied Joe Biden to join the company on May 20
In another text message to Porolinsky on May 11, Ghilya wrote that he thought Hunter’s father, Joe Biden, should be brought into the company. He wrote: “You (Bobrinsky) are right, let’s get this company up and running and then tell Hunter and their family the high stakes of this company and let them pull Joe in.”

On May 18, 2017, Gilyea briefed Bobrinski on why Hunt wanted Biden to join the company. Gilia wrote: “Hunter pulled Jim into the Company only to enhance his own and his family’s ownership in the Company during the final time period (of forming the Company).
I can see why Hunter wanted to make this deal and make it so huge, it actually has to do with the reputation of their family, they could have asked for 51% of the shares, maybe you are not interested in that, but a lot of American moguls would be interested in that.”

On May 19, Gilyea described Hunter as being in Wilmington with Biden at the time. Gilyea wrote, “I have not spoken with Hunter yet, but I had spoken with Jim 15 minutes ago and asked Jim to have Hunter on the phone with you (Bobrinski) and I know Hunter should be in Wilmington (Wilmington) with his father right now.”
And by May 20, it appeared that Hunter had successfully lobbied for his father to join the firm, as Gilyea reminded Bobrinsky that day, “Don’t say (to the public) that Joe (Biden’s name) has joined the firm, only say that when you meet with him, and I know you’ll think that’s a little odd, but they value that.”
A text message sent by Gilyea to Bobrinsky on May 20, 2017, suggests that Hunter has successfully convinced Biden to join his Warhawk company, but urges Bobrinsky not to tell the outside world of this fact (Photo credit: Web screenshot).
To which Bobrinsky replied, “Well, they are supposed to be paranoid about some things.”
To which Ghilya replied, “Indeed.”
The report said that Gilyea had previously claimed in a statement published in the Wall Street Journal in October 2017 that Biden had not been involved in negotiations between Hunt and the potential Watson company and therefore needed to clarify the issue to defuse the public’s misunderstanding of Biden on the matter. He declared at the time, “I am not aware that Biden was involved in our negotiations at any time.”
After Biden’s meeting with Bobrinsky, the company announced that “a bigwig holds a stake”
But an exclusive report by FoxNews.com this October revealed that Bobrinsky had met with Biden in early May 2017 during the Milken Conference on the issue of the Warhawks. And after that meeting, Gillia sent an email to those associated with the deal describing a package of compensation packages for the company, with a note attached to the email stating, “Hunter has some expectations for the company that he will be detailing.”
The email suggested giving Hunt 20 percent of the equity, with 10 percent held by “someone big” in the Biden gang, but the email did not give details. Bobrinsky later said that the big man was Biden.
The Fox report said that the Biden camp released tax documents and tax returns for Hunter that did not reflect the transaction’s accounts.
U.S. federal prosecutors are investigating Hunter for allegedly handing over deals with the Chinese Communist Party
Hunt admitted on Dec. 9 that U.S. federal prosecutors were investigating his tax affairs.
A U.S. government source said Hunter was the target of a grand jury investigation because suspicious activity reports (SARs) from U.S. financial institutions found anomalies in Hunter’s transactions with foreign countries, including the Chinese Communist Party, and that he likely engaged in money laundering, tax evasion and other criminal acts in those suspicious transactions.
Sources also said that the U.S. federal government began an investigation into the matter in 2018. However, the U.S. “mainstream” media and the U.S. Department of Justice remained silent on the matter during this year’s election.
U.S. Senator Cotton said the Hunt case should be the largest conflict of interest case in the United States, and several members of Congress are urging the establishment of a special counsel to investigate the case.
