Signal! U.S. State Department Rarely Issues Multiple Tweets Overnight to Emphasize Chinese Communist Party as the Biggest Threat

After midnight EST on December 16 and into the early morning hours of December 17, the State Department issued a rare series of four tweets, emphasizing that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) poses the greatest security threat to the United States from a variety of perspectives, including national sovereignty, national security, academic freedom, international affairs, and financial markets.

The first tweet from the State Department was accompanied by a photo of President Trump (Trump) confirming that the United States is a sovereign nation and read, “President Trump: the United States is a sovereign nation and our top priority is always to ensure the safety of our citizens.”

About two hours later, the State Department posted another tweet, a video of Secretary Pompeo‘s Dec. 9 speech at Georgia Tech on “Communist Challenges to U.S. National Security and Academic Freedom,” in which he said that Communist President Xi Jinping “cares about each and every one of us.”

A third tweet shared this view from Secretary Pompeo: “The Chinese Communist Party poses a real threat. We want China [the Chinese Communist Party] to engage in international affairs the way we ask other countries to.”

A fourth tweet was posted around 7 a.m. on the 17th, discussing the Chinese Communist Party’s infiltration of U.S. financial markets and the national security threat that comes with it. The tweet reads, “The Chinese Communist Party’s threat to U.S. national security has extended to our financial markets, affecting American investors. Learn how stock market money is supporting Chinese companies involved in military production and human rights abuses.”

Republican Senator Lindsey Graham, chairman of the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee, said recently that unregulated social media companies and unverified mail-in ballots will destroy American conservatism. President Trump responded by tweeting that he would veto the defense bill and definitely end Section 230.

President Trump tweeted the morning of Dec. 17, “I will veto the defense bill and it will upset China. They love it. Be sure to end Section 230, protect our national monuments, and allow the removal of troops from distant and very ungrateful lands. Thank you!”

Trump Lawyer: Road to Victory Swing State Legislatures Are Key

Jenna Ellis, a lawyer for President Trump’s campaign, said the legislatures of six swing states will be key to Trump’s victory in the 2020 election.

In a Dec. 16 interview on the Epoch Times’ American Thought Leaders program, Ellis said Pennsylvania, for example, was supported by the Pennsylvania legislature when the state brought an interstate election lawsuit to the federal Supreme Court.

“One of the great things about that case is that the Senate and House leaders in the Pennsylvania General Assembly filed an amicus brief with the Supreme Court acknowledging and telling the Supreme Court that they agreed with Texas that their state was not complying with state law in the administration of the 2020 election.” She said.

“That gave them a basis, through their investigation, their findings and all of the testimony and evidence that the mayor (Giuliani) and myself presented at that hearing, that Pennsylvania could withdraw its authority to select delegate lists under Article II, Section 1, Clause 2 of the United States Constitution.”

“Therefore, they themselves have every opportunity to reconvene an election meeting to vote on the slate of delegates they want to send. That’s what should happen in each of the six states by Jan. 6.”

For now, the governors have certified the votes for Biden’s electors, but state legislatures can still confirm the votes for Trump’s electors by calling a special legislative session.

Alabama Senator: Will challenge election vote in Congress

U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville of Alabama has publicly stated that he and other senators are preparing to challenge the electoral vote in Congress on January 6.

According to multiple U.S. media reports Dec. 17, Tuberville told the audience after a rally in Georgia, “You’re going to see what’s coming, you’re seeing what’s happening in the House, and we’re going to need to challenge the election in the Senate.”

Tuberville said, “My friends, we must hold on, we have no other choice – listen to me – we have no other choice but to win the election. They are about to steal the election …… They are doing everything they can to lie …… But we’re going to make it all right.”

Of Tuberville’s speech, President Trump praised it, saying, “It’s because he’s a champion and a brave man. More Republican senators should join him. Republicans won in a landslide and then got cheated out of it – but we caught them. Do something!”

On Thursday, Brooks and 18 congressional representatives released a joint letter informing House Speaker Pelosi and Senate President McConnell that Congress will need to conduct more election fraud investigative hearings by Jan. 6 in order to conduct a legitimate review of election issues.

Rep. Moore forwarded the joint letter and said, “January 6 at 1 p.m. will be an important day for our country! I and other members of Congress will also be joining Brooks, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (D-CA) (to challenge the election).”

Under U.S. election statutes, when at least one member of the U.S. House of Representatives and more than one member of the Senate oppose an Electoral College vote submitted by any state on Jan. 6, both chambers will debate whether to accept an Electoral College vote to challenge the results of the currently contested election.

Democratic Congressman AOC: Pelosi and Schumer Should Step Down

On Dec. 16, Democratic Rep. Ocasio-Cortez of New York told conservative media outlet Newsmax that the time has come for incumbent House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) to step down.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) accused the Democrats of suffering a serious setback in the battle for congressional seats in the 2020 election, losing nine House seats and hitting a wall in their plan to seize control of the Senate, although they barely retained their majority in the House.

She complained that Pelosi has no realistic alternative and the lack of leadership development for the next generation in the Democratic Party has resulted in “almost no succession options” in the House.

By AOC’s account proves that the Democrats kinda failed in the general election. Although he cheated, he cheated mostly on Trump. He will also have cheated in the House of Representatives, but not as much as Trump, and not as fully and as hard as he did. So lost a lot of seats.

Before this year’s election, the Democrat-controlled media had made a big deal of the fact that the Democrats would go on to expand their seats in the House and take back the majority in the Senate in this election. In reality, however, the Democrats suffered a serious setback in the congressional elections. Although the Democrats retained their majority in the House of Representatives, they only gained 222 seats, not only failing to expand their advantage over the Republicans in the House of Representatives, but also decreasing by 9 seats compared to the past; on the contrary, the Republicans gained 210 seats in the House of Representatives, an increase of 10 seats, greatly narrowing the gap with the Democrats.
