Former scholarism member Hui Wing-ting has announced that she has left Hong Kong for exile

“Hk the national security law” on the road, many Hong Kong people fight or run away people were forced to choose exile, recent Chinese communist suppression action, whether it is a 12 “in Hong Kong people,” or “all the volunteers the third” (huang feng, Zhou Ting, Lin Lang kunihiko) arrested sentence, next media group founder Mr Lai was held, and so on, all let Hong Kong people more and more afraid. Following former pro-democracy legislators Hui Chi-fung and Leung Chung-hang, ms Hui Wing-ting, a member of the students’ organisation Scholarism, also announced today that she had left Hong Kong. She sadly apologised to the protesters who remained in Hong Kong.

Ms Hui said on Her Facebook page tonight that she had been receiving warnings from different sources about her departure for several months since the security law had “overwhelmed” Hong Kong and that after careful consideration, she had no choice but to leave Hong Kong. The reason for the delay in confirming the rumours to the outside world was that “the political situation is unclear, the road ahead is gloomy, and the news is depressing one after another, so I chose to keep a low profile.”

Xu yingting said earnestly: “A walk may be a lifetime, I keep reminding myself, I believe this is also a lot of exiled brothers before leaving Hong Kong, wandering in the mind of the words. But at the last moment [of departure] you know what a heavy price it is not to be able to return to Hong Kong, the place where I was born and raised, and be cut off from your family.” She says people are convicted almost every day in Hong Kong. “What has tortured me the most is to accept that people I know here can leave or disappear at any time. I’ve never been used to high profile and the limelight, so politics has never been something I wanted to do. But how could I have expected that I would be the one who left today, wearing a school skirt and carrying out the student movement on the street?”

Xu Yingting admitted that he left after the heart continues to struggle, see Hong Kong friends have been arrested, sent, sentenced, Xu Yingting said he only full of guilt and shame. But she also stressed that leaving Hong Kong had never been forgotten. “For me, living in a foreign country, I still remember my original intention, study hard and devote my whole life to this land, which is the meaning of leaving. Leaving is a process, not an end. It represents another responsibility to speak up for the voiceless. On personal considerations, I have decided to leave Hong Kong.”

“Born as a Hong Kong person, I will die as a Hong Kong soul. No matter where I am in the future, I will use my strengths to fight against the enemy and keep my morale up. Even when you breathe, remember how much your arms and legs cry and bleed behind the sound of your breath, before everything is gone.” She sincerely hoped that one day she could return to Hong Kong and get together with her siblings. Faced with the protesters who chose to stay in Hong Kong, Xu said sadly, “I’m really sorry that I can’t travel with you.”
