“The people behind this stuff are Chinese developers whose software was actually put on the Smartmatic system,” Byrne said. “However, this system has infiltrated at least the major voting systems used in the United States.”
Mr. Byrne said Smartmatic created software through a series of mergers, acquisitions, spinoffs and licensing agreements that eventually became part of at least two of the dominant commercial voting systems in the United States, including the Dominion.
He says some security experts who he describes as “white hat hackers” say they give the system a security score of 1-2 out of 10.
