Zhai Dongsheng, senior adviser to President Xi Jinping: a crafty tradesman, a big straw bale

Zhai Dongsheng, deputy dean of the School of International Relations at Renmin University of China and deputy director and secretary General of the Center for International Strategic Studies of the COMMUNIST Party of China, has gone viral on the Internet.

Recently, Zhai Dongsheng, a senior adviser to Xi Jinping, revealed that the Communist Party “can deal with Wall Street and the American establishment” and suggested that “they have business dealings with Joe Biden” after becoming a “celebrity” around the world. U.S. President Donald Trump and Sidney Powell, a prominent lawyer investigating election fraud, have shared the video. So, what kind of a person is Zhai Dongsheng?

According to zhai’s website, he regularly participates in policy discussions at the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee, the United Front Work Department, the Party School of the CPC Central Committee, the Communist Youth League Central Committee and the Chinese Academy of Military Sciences. Visit activities, as well as lectures, seminars and thematic planning. In the spring of 2013, the US State Department invited Dongsheng Zhai to Washington to teach senior us officials about China-Us economic relations. During Xi Jinping’s visit to the US in 2015, the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee designated Zhai Dongsheng to promote the English version of Xi Jinping: The Governance of China to US readers together with leaders of the Information Office of The State Council.

Referring to Zhai’s flamboyant titles, The Chinese writer Sun Daluo wrote in Beijing Spring in December that Zhai appeared to be “full of classics and intellectual wealth”, but was in fact a typical “embroidered pillow, clothes shelf and a big straw bag full of excrescence”.

Sun Daluo pointed out that when Zhai Dongsheng was a student at Renmin University of China, he was taught by Zhang Ming, a professor at Renmin University and a famous Chinese historian. Zhang Ming impressed him deeply as “a philistinist who did not like studying or reading, but only interested in taking shortcuts”. Therefore, Zhang Ming sneers at Zhai Dongsheng, thinking that his moral character is not good, also do not like reading, there will be no promise and future.

But Zhai Dongsheng later got a place as an exchange student in Britain through his connections and went abroad for further study. Instead of taking the opportunity to study, Zhai was keen to sell many Chinese handicrafts from China and sell them on the streets of Britain, Sun revealed. “Over the years, I’ve made no progress in my studies, but I’ve made a lot of money. After returning to China, he made his way through money to become a doctoral supervisor and vice dean of the School of International Relations at Renmin University of China, a senior diplomatic think tank of the Communist Party.”

In the face of such an ignorant and brazen man, Zhang Ming lamented on his weibo account: “Domestic universities are a much worse institution. In the university, those honest people who diligently and assiduously study the knowledge are getting worse and worse. They can’t even be an associate professor, but zhai Dongsheng, a shameless fellow who doesn’t study and do research, has become the second richest person in the world.”

Sun big worries about Locke writes, “China’s top political cadres have mostly been rigid conservative full official ideology and autocratic Confucianism, and unscrupulous power supreme hypocrite, are most of China’s political think-tank world intellectual elite certain moral low dirty shameless ringers, Chinese people mostly bottom is the pseudo human ignorance city animal, so there’s hope for China?”

As for zhai Dongsheng’s case, many Chinese netizens are still discussing it. Some netizens believe that Zhai dongsheng’s attempt to boast about how powerful the Chinese Communist Party is proved to be self-defeating and made it possible for the Chinese Communist Party to interfere in the US election. “How could China do all it could”, “There is a famous scene in the romance of The Three Kingdoms in which Jiang stole books”, “The stupid party helped prove Bai et al’s treason! Irrefutable evidence!”

Another netizen joked, “This man, like Jin Canrong and Li Yi, just likes to brag, showing that they have inside knowledge and a knack for heaven. It is another kind of people who can eat the party’s food and throw away the party’s cooking pot.” “Is this kind of loose lips the brains of Xi Jinping? China is not far from subjugation. A fool would believe such a thing.” “The American people thank him! First, dare to speak the truth in public in a tough country, so that the American people know what real infiltration is. Number two, help the U.S. government fight corruption, and let the Biden’s deals with powerful countries come to light.”
