Ren Hua, former vice president of Xinjiang province, has been arrested for accepting bribes

In June ren Hua, a former vice-chairman of the Communist Party’s Xinjiang government, was ousted. According to public records, Ren Hua, 56, is from Yantai, Shandong province. She has been working in Xinjiang since she graduated from Xinjiang University, serving as deputy Director of the General Office of the Party Committee of Xinjiang, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Urumqi Municipal Committee and Minister of the Publicity Department, Secretary of the Party Group and Deputy Director of the Culture Department of Xinjiang, and Vice Minister of the Publicity Department of the Party Committee.

Since January 2018, Hua has served as vice Chairman of the Xinjiang Government, vice Minister (and concurrently Minister) of the Publicity Department of the CPC Party Committee, Secretary of the CPC Leading Group and Deputy Director of the Department of Culture. On June 1, 2020, Ren Hua fell.

Ren is also the first provincial-level official to fall after this year’s “two sessions” of the Communist Party of China.

On November 30 this year, Ren hua was double-opened. An official notification said it was deliberately engaging in superstitious practices to counter censorship; Accept luxury consumption arrangements such as high-end beauty, illegal access to private clubs; Failing to report personal matters as required; Illegally lend money and obtain large returns, borrow large amounts of money to manage and serve the target for profit; Illegal acceptance of large sums of money and property.

Ren hua’s work experience shows that during her 34 years in xinjiang government, she worked with Yang Gang, former deputy director of the Economic Committee of the 12th National Committee of the CPPCC, Li Zhi, former deputy director of the Standing Committee of the Xinjiang People’s Congress, and Nur Bekri, deputy director of the National Development and Reform Commission.

Yang gang has been working in Xinjiang for 40 years, serving as party secretary and deputy director of the Xinjiang Personnel Department, Party secretary of Urumqi, Deputy Party Secretary of Xinjiang Party Committee, vice Chairman of Xinjiang Government, deputy Party Secretary and Deputy Director of the State General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine.

Mr Yang is a confidant of Wang Lequan, xinjiang’s former communist Party secretary. Yang fell in December 2013. In early 2016, Yang was sentenced to 12 years in prison for taking bribes.

Li Zhi was the first provincial – or ministerial-level official to fall from power in Xinjiang after the 18th CPC National Congress. Li was sentenced to 12 years in prison in 2016 for taking bribes.

Nur Bekri had been a prostitute in Xinjiang for 31 years. He served as mayor of Urumqi, deputy secretary of The Xinjiang Political and Legal Commission and deputy secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Before being promoted to minister-level chairman of xinjiang Government in 2008. At the end of 2014, he was appointed vice Director of the National Development and Reform Commission and Director of the National Energy Administration. Nur Bekri was deposed in September 2018, becoming the first ministerial-level Uighur official to be removed from office since the 18th CPC National Congress.

In addition to Ren Hua, a number of officials have been sacked in Xinjiang this year. Xinjiang Transport Department of the Party Committee member Su Biao fell; Li Wei, deputy mayor of Urumqi, is under investigation; Zhao Peixin, a former member of the Party Committee and deputy chief of the Criminal Investigation team of the Xinjiang Public Security Department, was double-appointed and placed on file for investigation.
