During the “Stop Stealing election, Support President Trump” rally and march on December 12, a Chinese told reporters that the video of her live broadcast of General Michael Flynn’s speech on Facebook was interrupted, which was later alerted by friends. She protested against facebook’s censorship of users’ content. The woman’s husband urged people to boycott social media platforms that censor speech, such as Facebook and Twitter.
While people are now streaming live videos on FaceBook, YouTube and Twitter, these tech companies continue to censor or delete posts from social media platforms before and after the recent election.
The Chinese woman said she live-streamed General Flynn’s speech on Her Facebook account at Freedom Plaza, but it was Cut off by facebook.
She added that it was not a question of Internet signals. “You can play it live at the Supreme Court, but you can’t play it at freedom Plaza,” she said. “General Flynn’s speech was Cut by Facebook… I was halfway through the broadcast when my friend texted me and said, “Hey, why did your live stream stop? You couldn’t see it at all.”
“Damn it, the whole impassioned speech by General Flynn is gone, and this is a horrible censorship, even in the United States of America.”
The woman’s husband responded, “Who still uses FaceBook? Let’s get rid of it. I’ve never used FaceBook before and I’m still alive.” “How do you keep in touch with friends?” asked the reporter.
‘there are plenty of ways,’ he said. ‘I drive, why facebook, why twitter, why Google, just leave them with no money, it’s you users who fatten it up and then it can censor you.’
The Chinese gentleman also called for a boycott of fake news, “Don’t watch it, immediately lower all the ratings to it, it will be silly immediately”.
