Trump team: Contested states will have another set of electoral college votes for Congress

Supporters of President Donald Trump hold a “Stop Stealing election” rally outside the Georgia State Capitol on November 18, 2020.

Monday is voting day for each state’s Electoral College. Alternate electors from disputed states will send their ballots to Congress at the same time, Stephen Miller, a senior adviser to Trump’s presidential campaign, revealed in the morning.

“Today, in contested states, alternative electors are going to vote, and we’re going to send those results to Congress,” the senior adviser told Fox and Friends.

He added that this would ensure that all legal remedies remained open.

Miller cites a series of lawsuits that reveal voter fraud and irregularities. He said that if the Trump team wins these cases in court, it will prove that another set of state electors are eligible to vote.

He stressed that the only deadline in the constitution is January 20, so there is still enough time to correct the fraudulent results and prove Trump was the winner.
