Editor’s note
In 1968, the film Bonnie and Clyde was nominated for Eight Academy Awards, including Best Actor, actress, supporting actor and Best Picture. The film is based on the true story of Bonnie and Clyde Barrow.
During the Great Depression in 1930, the young couple, both in their early 20s, robbed at gunpoint and killed anyone who stood in their way. In January 1934, they escaped from a Texas prison and killed two guards. Three months later, they murdered two police officers, a sheriff and kidnapped a police chief. In 1934, Bonnie and Clyde were ambushed by police and shot with more than 150 bullets throughout their bodies. Half a century later, a similar story was repeated in Russia. Unlike the once famous Bonnie and Clyde, they are only 15 years old.
On November 14, 2016, two Russian teenagers, Katerina and Dennis, ran from The city of Pskov to the village of Strgi Krasnye, locked themselves in a house and opened fire on police. At first they shot in the air and then they started shooting at the police car. The whole process was filmed and streamed live on the Internet.
Soon after, the police stormed the house and announced that the two teenagers had committed suicide before the police attacked.
There is no Bohemia in the Bonnie and Clyde story. Walking rivers and lakes of desperate love, only the cold reality and more cold bullets.

Before that, the house had been described by the police as a “target”.
The first person to hear it was the neighbour, Aunt Lyudmila.
On Monday, November 14, 2016, Aunt got up at 8:00 as usual. Before she got up, she heard gunshots outside her house, but didn’t know what was going on. Aunt did not care too much, still go to the streets to sweep up the snow.
Around 9 o ‘clock, a policeman arrived and told her to go home, lock the door, don’t hang around the window, and don’t look at the “target”.
Lyudemi pulled himself back into the room, but could not control his curiosity and kept glancing outside. She recalled to reporters that the number of police officers on the streets had been increasing since 9 o ‘clock. It appeared that someone had illegally taken a female hostage, and they were hiding in the house next door, occasionally shooting at police and police dogs in the street.
After 11 o ‘clock, the firing became noticeably more intense.
At 1 p.m., a police officer swept a path in front of Aunt Lyudmila’s barn. From the Angle of the barn, there was a view of the target house, only about 15 or 20 paces away, except that the raid from here would have taken place through the open garden.
By then, according to Mrs Lyudmila, the police were discussing, behind her back, how to attack “targets” from the barn.
Daniil Turovsky took pictures of the scene during his post-event visit
The family bought the house five years ago as a summer vacation home, so in winter there is nothing in the house.
The house belonged to Katerina’s stepfather, “an evil brown bear,” Lyudmila recalled. The house is better built than all the houses in the village. It has two floors and a bathroom next to it. The outside of the house was made of pine and beautifully painted, with a strong yard wall on the outside.
In Strgi Krasnye village, many large buildings are empty, once red-hot bakery and garment factories have closed, many people are moving to pskov looking for a job, “target” nobody lived around the house, only aunt lyudmila was still here, so if the police want to attack, do not need to evacuate the crowd.
It was Katerina and Denise who were hiding in the house and firing away.

Dennis, 15, and Katerina have been dating for seven months.
They were classmates at the No. 9 Middle School in Pskov city. Like any young couple who loves to show off their love, there are many pictures of them on social media. On November 9, Denise posted a picture of herself saying: ‘It’s really sad that things have turned out this way. Nothing is better with you.’
Katerina’s profile is full of selfies, videos and stills from teen Wolf with actress Dylan O ‘Brien, and judging by her profile, she’s pretty active.
Both grew up in single-parent families, both had a stepfather, and neither did well in school. Most of all, their relationship with their parents was strained. Not long before her elopement, Katerina was beaten severely by her stepfather when she came home at 9 p.m. She had asked her parents to let her spend the night at a friend’s house, but when her request was refused, she ran away from home. Her parents soon found her at her friend’s house, where, needless to say, she was beaten and her face was covered in bruises.
She wrote about it all on social networking sites. Meanwhile, her boyfriend Dennis says he can’t stand his parents any more.
“Why don’t you think of your parents?” one netizen asked. They said, “Why should we care about our parents? They never think of our feelings!”
The Russian version of Dennis and Katrina.
Friday, November 12th. Katerina and Dennis stole money from their parents’ bank cards, boarded a bus and eloped to their summer villa in the village of Strgi Krasnye, 80 kilometres away. Katerina did not have a key to the villa, and the two of them broke a ground-floor window and climbed in.
In the villa they had broken open a safe containing a double barrel shotgun, shotgun, pistol and plenty of ammunition. The two spent the weekend in what became known as the Goal villa. To pass the boredom, they dyed each other’s hair. Dennis dyed his own black hair blonde. Katerina did the opposite.
They also dug out the clothes in the villa, and Dennis found a pair of camouflage pants and a blazer, both much larger than his size. Katerina wore a black Adidas.
On Monday morning, in a post on periscope.tv, katerina’s grandmother and mother tracked them down, with katerina “opening the door” with a knife.
‘The confrontation ended when they cut my hand and Dennis calmly asked them to leave but they just wouldn’t go.’ In the post, Katerina said that Eventually Dennis got angry and shot Katerina’s mother in the leg with an air rifle.
When police arrived, two teenagers fired shotguns at the officers, who threw the van and ran away.

Over the next few hours, the two young men wandered around the house, updating their status on social media and Posting videos.
Katerina said the elopement had been a good life and claimed she had not been kidnapped and that the situation was entirely her own free choice.
Dennis posted a photo of a gun, a radio and a condom, before long Posting a photo of a police car with bullet holes, titled “Vacation with my Little Princess.”
He also posted a selfie with his girlfriend, katerina, under the name Darova . In another video, they discuss questions like “If caught by the cops, they’ll get years in jail.”
In their endless stream of posts, the young couple have never expressed any appeal, and their messages to the outside world are all about how helpless they are.

As the situation spiraled out of control, they began shooting at neighbors’ houses, garden fences and police cars. Katerina advised Dennis to fight the stray dogs running up and down the street, and before that, Dennis had already killed two dogs.
At the same time, the couple have posted interesting videos showing people around the structure of the house. “This is the house of my stepfather, a special forces soldier, an FSB officer.” “Katerina explained, with Denis accompanying a picture of Her stepfather shaking hands with Putin. Then the two of them sat under the banner of the Russian airborne Corps and ate a bowl of instant noodles. Dennis offered to escape. “It’s useless.” “Said Katerina.
Dennis found that the number of fans did not live up to his expectations. “This is our preparation for the police to storm the floor,” Katerina told the onlookers, pointing to the plastic sheeting on the floor. “Soon we will be bleeding on the floor and our bodies will be lying on these plastic sheeting. Of course we’ll fight back, we’ll let them get bloody, we’ll see, now, join me in making a Molotov cocktail for them!”
Dennis fires at the smoking TV, and the two throw the broken TV out of the house.
Katerina began singing to show the broken police car to the Internet.
“Here is a brief report on the damage to the police car. The wheel is leaking, the window is broken, two Windows are broken!” “So, we’re not going to give up.” In the video that follows, there are gunshots and Katerina quickly runs back to the house to fight alongside her boyfriend. “Let’s have another shot at that stupid car!”
“She said as she took the gun. “God, how can you be scared out of your wits by children?” Then he fired another shot at the police car.
Dennis squatted on the ground while Keterina lovingly stroked her boyfriend’s hair. “I haven’t done your hair yet, you’re too pretty to die!” “Said Katerina.

Over the next few hours, denise and Katerina were contacted by family and friends. In one video, Katerina reads a text message from Dennis’s mother urging them to surrender. “You will pay for your actions.” Short channel.
In another video, Katerina says Dennis’s mother called and talked them out of the house. “But we don’t want to go. It wouldn’t be fun to go.” “The young couple replied.
On Periscope, Dennis and Katerina chatted with a friend. The friend asked several times what they were going to do next and said that they would miss them very much. Another student said the whole class was watching them live, and Katerina was very pleased.
They explained that the villa was designed for the summer, so they didn’t stock up on firewood. There was nothing to burn in the house and it was so cold that they had to drink vodka to stay warm.
One enthusiastic user asked if they had killed anyone. Katerina replied, “So far, I’ve never shot anything but stray dogs.”
Dennis admitted to shooting at the officer. “I saw the cop and I shot him, Bon! Bang!” Dennis said. “We are Bonnie and Clyde!” Katerina added.

Villagers told reporters that at about 1 p.m., police blocked off the street while gunfire stopped.
At 2 p.m., a statement appeared on the village’s VK community forum, saying, “Some madmen have opened fire in the village, possibly in a drunken rage, and the police are in position.”
In the video that followed, Katerina and Dennis repeatedly said they had no choice but to surrender. “If we don’t surrender, they will kill me.”
Dennis said they had surrendered all their weapons, throwing knives, shotguns and shotguns out the window. ‘But we’ll never kill ourselves.’ “Said Katerina.
At the same time, psychologists began to work vigorously, and Katerina’s teacher called the hotline to persuade her students to surrender.
During the final negotiations, the negotiator gave Dennis and Katerina 40 minutes to “think it through.” “They gave us an ultimatum to surrender, but we Russians never surrender!” “Said Katerina.
A few minutes before the assault began, the smiles on Dennis and Katerina’s faces disappeared (live throughout). She lit a cigarette, the only two they had left. “I’m worried, Really worried.” She said. Dennis was helping Katerina with her hair.
“What are you worried about? He asked.
“I was worried about you.” ‘she replied.
‘I’m sorry to see you worried. I’m a man, but I can’t protect you.”
“I want to leave our last words. We’ve done too many bad things.”
They said the house had been surrounded by commandos and “the police were just standing outside, doing nothing.” Then the live broadcast was cut off.
The villagers witnessed the assault as eight heavily armed SWAT officers rushed in from behind the house.
At two o ‘clock in the afternoon Mr Pskov’s swat team appeared in full force in the village. They did not approach the “target” directly, but kept a certain distance. The Pskov municipal government also testified that the SWAT team chose to storm rather than continue negotiations with Katerina, and since no one lived around the “target,” their rambling did not pose a threat to anyone.
The police said they had been engaged in fruitless negotiations for several hours and that the youths had stopped responding and that the assault was a last resort.
Witnesses heard gunshots during the assault.
A villager standing near the blockade said he also heard several explosions.
The police explained that shock bombs had been used during the attack, and that the SWAT commander, after breaking into the house, found Dennis and Katerina’s bodies, which were marked with shotgun shells, and reported them to prosecutors.
Dennis shot Katerina first, then killed himself.
“The SWAT officers did not shoot the children during the assault.” The prosecutor said.

On Tuesday afternoon, Nov. 15, prosecutors released a video of the assault.
In the video, Dennis and Katerina are already lying on the sofa in a pool of blood, their coats and weapons scattered on the floor; They were then taken away by ambulance.
The next morning, villagers gathered around the house to look at the bullet holes in the walls. “Is our village also out of mental illness?” “Asked one of the villagers. ‘It is! Haven’t you heard that yesterday a madman hacked his wife to death and killed six children with him?” ‘replied the other.
Pieces of the police car’s glass were still scattered at the gate of the target, and there were stains of blood on the ground that stretched for fifty metres to the house where the police were hiding.
“We must not allow this kind of thing to be imitated by children as a role model,” a spokesman for the Pskov regional agency for children’s rights said at a news conference on Tuesday.

On Tuesday night, katerina and Dennis’s classmates commemorated their classmates on the VK web site. “You were always sincere and friendly to me, always helping me when I was in trouble, always making me happy and encouraging me,” one student wrote.
“I don’t miss you. I don’t know what you’re doing this for… We’ve had so many wonderful times together.” “Another student wrote.
The VK webmaster has now turned off the page’s message board, but still allows people to send Dennis and Katerina gifts.
One gift was a baseball cap that said, “Make America Great Again.”
