Germany confirmed exponential growth from January 16 to January 10 next year

The German government today (13) officially announced that due to the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak in Wuhan, the city will be closed from December 16.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel said all non-essential shops and schools in Germany would be forcibly closed from December 16 until January 10, Euronews reported. With the number of infections growing exponentially, The government has been forced to act quickly, Merkel said.

According to German health authorities, Germany today has 220,000 new confirmed cases and 321 deaths, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 1.32m 716 and the death toll to 21,787.
