Prominent Media Personality: Facing Hunt Scandal, Left Media Makes Multiple Means to Suppress Truth

On Wednesday, Dec. 9, Joel Pollak, a prominent American media personality and senior editor of Breitbart News, published an opinion piece detailing the many ways in which the leftist media has suppressed the truth in the face of the scandal involving Biden’s son, Hunter Biden.

Pollak said Hunter is under investigation for alleged tax violations in his business dealings with foreign countries, yet many in the U.S. are unaware of the story. He said this reflects the fact that the leftist media is not acting and suppressing real reporting to spread the truth. The following is a translation of his opinion piece.

The New York Post had published a story on Oct. 14 mentioning that Hunt had introduced his father, former Vice President Joe Biden, to a mysterious figure, an official from the corrupt Ukrainian energy company Brisma. Facebook suppressed the story, and Twitter blocked people from sharing it. The New York Post also suffered a lockdown of its account for more than two weeks as a result.

Soon after, the New York Post followed up with a story that Hunt had formed a joint venture with China Energy Corporation (CEFC) in 2017 and reserved a 10 percent stake for the “big man” (meaning his father, Joe Biden). This time, all media outlets were collectively silenced. But never mind, Tony Bobulinski, CEO of Hunter China, came out and confirmed the story.

Apparently, Hunter’s laptop, which was seized by the FBI last year, is at the heart of the investigation into Hunter. Yet instead of investigating the incident, Silicon Valley tech companies and the leftist media censored the rhetoric. Consider what they have done.

I. Facebook

Facebook suppressed the story pending review by a “third-party fact-checking partner,” calling the story “misleading information. The move was the tone set by Silicon Valley and the leftist mainstream media.

Twitter

Twitter shut down all links to the New York Post story, blocked the Post’s account, and suspended all personal accounts that tried to share the story. Twitter’s rationale for the censorship continued to change, from claims that the story was dangerous to that the story involved hacked information. Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey blocked the New York Post’s account for more than two weeks, although he reluctantly admitted that the company was wrong.

III. The Washington Post

The WaPo argued that the story was Russian disinformation because Rudy Giuliani was one of the sources. The story says, “Giuliani, President Trump’s personal lawyer, was the target of a Russian intelligence operation.”

IV. Wikipedia

Common sources of knowledge on the Internet dictate censorship of news. “Wikipedia editors recently deemed the New York Post to be an unreliable source on Wikipedia and used this as a reason to eliminate the introduction of the Hunt story.” Wikipedia has since continued to suppress the story, calling it “Russian interference” and claiming that it has been “debunked.

V. CBS

CBS said the story was about “a laptop allegedly filled with old emails from Hunter Biden. Biden’s old emails”. The story has raised concerns about the matter. It’s not clear if this is true or if someone is trying to create confusion in the final weeks of the election. In an interview with President Trump, the paper’s reporter Leslie Stahl said the laptop didn’t mean anything.

Sixth, Fox News

Although Fox did some coverage of the story, Wallace (Chris Wallace), who moderated the first presidential debate, showed a disdain for it. “It proves nothing at all,” he said, adding, “Giuliani is no longer the most reliable source.”

VII. Microsoft National Cable Broadcasting Company (MSNBC)

MSNBC treated the Hunt story as false information, thus not finding the story at all on its website. Joe Scarborough, host of “Good Morning, Joe,” called it “fake news” and said, “I’ve never seen anything so ridiculous.

The New York Times

The New York Times tried to discredit the story, saying that staffers at the New York Post doubted the story’s veracity. Media personality John Nolte said that the New York Times could not even admit that the New York Post had actually reported the story, so they never really disputed the facts of the story.

IX. Politico

Politico reported on a letter from an intelligence official calling the New York Post story “disinformation” from Russia and mocking it by saying that “the Biden campaign may have met with Burmese executives, laying an ambush here.” Politico also gloated after the Nov. 4 election polls closed that Hunter Biden’s laptop story “fizzled. Biden’s laptop story “fizzled out,” which just about diverted the public’s attention.

Ten: CNN

CNN deliberately added fuel to the fire in its reporting, and its media reporter Brian Stelter even asked for more social media censorship of the story.

Eleventh: National Public Radio (NPR)

Taxpayer-funded NPR brushed the story aside, explaining to the public, “We don’t want to waste our time on news that’s false, and we don’t want to waste our listeners’ and readers’ time on news that’s distracting.”

XII. ABC News (ABC)

In a 90-minute town hall meeting with Joe. During a 90-minute town hall meeting with Joe Biden, ABC’s George Stephanopoulos didn’t even mention a single question about Hunter, much less the New York Post story that had just come out the day before about Hunter’s laptop hard drive.

Thirteen, NBC (National Broadcasting Company)

NBC published a story titled “How Fake Characters Planted Hunt’s Computer Hard Drive Plot. Biden’s Computer Hard Drive Plot”. The report claimed that the New York Post shared a 64-page document full of lies about Biden.
