Dong Mingzhu revealed that Gree Electric will build a cross-border e-commerce platform in Hengqin

Affected by the epidemic, the development of cross-border e-commerce industry has accelerated this year, and more and more Chinese enterprises are also using cross-border e-commerce platform to further expand overseas markets, and Gree will also join the battlefield.

The 2020 Australia-Pearl River Delta Entrepreneur Summit was held in Zhuhai today. Dong Mingzhu, Chairman and President of Gree Electric Appliance Co., Ltd. revealed at the meeting that Gree will establish a cross-border e-commerce platform in Hengqin to do more platform services for everyone. However, Dong did not reveal exactly when the platform will be online and what specific businesses are available.

Public information shows that Gree Electric has been stationed in Ali international station three months ago, and received more than 100 inquiries from the European and American markets, of which the intention of customers accounted for 10%.

Dong Mingzhu also revealed that “GREE now has 15 research institutes, 1,000 laboratories and 100 institutes, but we feel that it is far from enough. Because Gree Electric is no longer a simple air conditioning company, is a full coverage of the whole consumer goods industry, while we have also entered the intelligent equipment.”

In addition to Gree, Zhang Yiming, CEO of Bytespring Global, recently mentioned in the internal goal that in 2021, it will focus on three new business directions, including cross-border e-commerce, to do exploration. Byte’s cross-border e-commerce business will do both import and export.
