Full Story| Team Trump Statement: president Trump joins Texas vs Pennsylvania lawsuit!

On Wednesday, Jenna Ellis, a member of President Trump’s legal team, tweeted a statement indicating that President Trump was participating that day in a lawsuit filed by Texas against four battleground states, including Pennsylvania, in his personal capacity as a candidate for re-election to the U.S. presidency.

The statement essentially reads.

“Donald J. Trump, in his individual capacity as a candidate for re-election as President of the United States, today filed a motion to intervene in a lawsuit filed in the U.S. Supreme Court by Texas against Pennsylvania and other states. The President is intervening in the lawsuit because the defendant states’ failure to comply with and enforce state election laws during the 2020 election affects his rights as a candidate.

The following statement was issued by the Trump campaign.

“I’m honored that the president has asked me to represent him in this matter, and I think his involvement in this case reinforces an already very strong original action in Texas.”

  • President Trump’s attorney of record, John C. Eastman.

“President Trump is fully committed to ensuring the integrity of the election and fulfilling his oath of office to defend and protect the U.S. Constitution from the misconduct and illegal actions of state officials that irreparably harmed this election. We look to the Supreme Court to address these important issues that ultimately affect the integrity of elections for all Americans and to provide a remedy for the corruption that occurred.”
