Why mess with a cultural person?

A common image of a cultural person is that of a weak scholar. Within this stereotype, there is not much room for the cultural person. Most of the time, they simply play the role of the weak, and the traditionally strong seem to be disdainful of it. But are cultural people really only the weak?

Many cultures are capable of taking on the role of a strong man, but the strong man they take on is not the one who shows off his muscles, but the one who completely defeats the opponent, a defeat that is sometimes much worse than the one we see.

Today’s movie tells a story of the victory of the weak over the strong in the universal sense, a story of revenge or a story of resistance to oppression and exploitation, and is called “Translation Doubt”. How is it? Does this not look like it says cultural people.

Yes, this is the story of a cultural man, and a cultural man’s special way of getting his revenge. The story of “Translation Doubt” is that a publisher wanted to have a book he was about to publish released worldwide at the same time, so he brought in translators.

Nine translators were brought in to cover nine languages around the world. These translators were given the task of translating the book, and their personal freedom was severely restricted.

However, in this highly guarded and confined space, these individuals were still able to leak their translations. The publisher was furious. And so, the thief hunt began. As the mystery unravels, so does the great conspiracy behind the publisher.

As the conspiracy is revealed, the whole revenge plan is revealed to the public, and it turns out that it was all a set-up, and these people were just pawns to be used. It’s a closet mystery movie. However, when we actually watch the whole film, we realize that it has nothing to do with the concept of the Chamber of Secrets. It’s a mystery film, but also a crime film.

The film seems to create characters, characters with different personalities, but in fact this superficial creation of characters does not add to the watchability of the film. On the contrary, it makes them take up too much of the real core of the film behind the scenes. Therefore, when the end of the film is near and we are faced with the truth, we are surprised to find that the characters, who did not need much drama in the first place, overspend on the main character’s drama.

As a result, the series of self-revelations by the protagonist does not provide much surprise to the audience. On the contrary, it weakens the whole movie. As a result, the film is a bit off in terms of the framing of the entire film. The characteristic of a mystery film is that the audience is constantly guided by clues to unravel the fog layer by layer. At this point, the basic logic of the film is still clear. The Chamber Mystery, however, is a little different.

First of all, it is necessary to set up the characters in the confined space. And there is no doubt that these figures should be appropriate to the environment in which they are placed. Since it is a case of a confined space, it is natural that the setting should be adapted to the confined space.

The film seems to have nine different personalities, but in fact, all of them, except for the real protagonist at the end, are airmen, who seem to have distinct personalities, but in fact do not have any ability to substantially advance the plot. Thus, the characterization is a failure.

The central question is who the author really is and how to reconcile the conflict between the author and the publisher. We always see news about publishers and authors getting along, but every time we see such news, does anyone doubt its authenticity?

Can authors and publishers really get along? Faced with the temptation of money, whether every literary person is able to remain steadfastly true to his or her consistent attributes is unknown. This is not known.

Is the value of the wordsmith to be measured by money or by following one’s heart. This is the question we need to consider. Everyone who wants to excel in a particular field naturally has to stay focused on that field. It is certain that good focus is enough to propel oneself to the top position in the industry.

Therefore, when you watch the movie with a certain level of professionalism, you will be shocked by the unethical people in the movie. For translators, it is a minimum ethic not to reveal the content of their translations.

In this film, however, it seems that maintaining such integrity is not an easy task for the so-called translation elite, almost all of whom think that leaking is no big deal, and who initially try to make their work unclassifiable in any way they can. It remains to be seen whether such ugly leaks can be used to highlight their professionalism.

The way the film is presented clearly does not inherently improve the quality of the film, and when you watch it, or when you watch it in the mood for a closet movie, it is like having a fishbone stuck in your throat. It looks like it could have been self explanatory, but it’s just storytelling for the sake of storytelling. So, naturally, there are no big surprises.
