Getting a “virtual pet” is worth tens of billions of dollars? Today’s scams are too wild.

Recently, a scam that was forwarded in a family newsletter caught my attention.

What? It’s amazing how someone can be scammed out of 110,000 dollars by playing the “animal breeding” game online ……

When I searched on the Internet, I didn’t expect that this game actually cheated 80 W+ people, and the amount of money cheated is up to tens of billions of dollars.

With an annualized yield of 7200% and a monthly income of a million dollars, it is not a dream. …… is a game that pulls people into the abyss of losing everything they own by giving them a big pie and pulling heads.

Many people have been cheated out of all their money, and have taken on a load of small loans, and even have no money to eat for two or three days (too tragic), despairing of their entire lives …….

Today, let’s take a look at what kind of “animal world” it really is.

01

What the heck is “Animal World”?

Animal World” was a game that suddenly caught fire in June this year, but collapsed in November, and was “alive” for less than half a year, generating tens of billions of dollars.

The gameplay of this game is very simple, that is, “raising animals” to make money, and it is somewhat similar to the “growing vegetables game” that was popular on the Internet.

What does it mean to “raise animals”?

There are 10 kinds of virtual animals in “Animal World”, including happy birds, sika deer, golden monkeys and so on.

The platform is open 10 times a day, from 10:25 a.m. to 8:25 p.m. Each time, players have 5 minutes to grab an animal, and they need to click on the picture of the animal on the screen. Players have 5 minutes to grab an animal each time, and they need to desperately click on the picture of the animal on the screen, and when they click on it, it will show “Snapped successfully”.

After grabbing the animals, players can feed them, and then sell them.

Different animals have different prices, different breeding cycles and different yields.

The Chinese Dragon, which is the most popular and most profitable of all, has a 30% yield in as little as 15 days.

If a player spends 10,000 RMB to snatch a dragon, he can earn 3,000 RMB in half a month, which is 200 RMB per day.

If this 10,000 yuan is put in the balance, you can’t even earn 15 yuan in interest in half a month (it’s simply the balance that is beaten) ……

In order to trap players, scammers will also let players get a taste of the sweetness first and make a little money.

A victim interviewed by @kunmingradio.tv said he earned more than 2,000 yuan on his first try, with the return of capital and interest directly to his WeChat account.

But when he saw how easy it was to make money, he didn’t take the money out, but kept adding more and more, and finally he was cheated out of 60,000 in …….

Due to the simple, easy-to-use robocalls, it’s easy to make money with the touch of a finger, so numerous victims have started to “get on board”.

02

How wild is the scammer’s scheme to get people into the game?

In order to get more money, there are a lot of fraudulent operations that can’t be avoided.

(1) The pie is a lure, designed to cheat the white man.

They have a strong pie-drawing ability, with one technical term after another, and they package their products in such a way that they make them look high and mighty.

First of all, the scammers play the hottest “blockchain” banner to play the coinage set. They not only created an “exchange” and issued a large number of virtual coins (similar to Bitcoin), but also developed a payment system.

The blockchain + bitcoin is a real bluff, as if the next step is to be comparable to the stock exchange.

Secondly, the scammers also boast about the real economy, and in the next three years, they will build real eco-homes – farmers’ orchards – all over the country.

These claims sound very lofty, but if you examine them carefully, there are loopholes everywhere.

First of all, payment transactions are very strictly regulated in our country, and only large Internet companies like Alipay and Tencent have payment licenses to conduct legal transactions online.

Animal World does not have this qualification at all, the exchange and virtual currency are all “attics in the air” and do not exist at all, and the payment system has never been filed.

In short, the money that players put in is just a basket of water that is wasted, and there is no way to guarantee the safety of the funds, so cheating gangs may take the money and run away at any time.

A “prop” who is well versed in all sorts of tricks is also essential in the scam, which is old-fashioned but effective.

Every day when the market opens, they will release all kinds of “smoke bombs” on WeChat, creating a sense of tension that the animals are hot and the hands are slow.

When the countdown starts, many players get hot and spend money to grab the animals.

At the end of the night, they also asked all players to report their earnings for the day, and if they didn’t, they would be kicked out of the group.

The “prop” from time to time in the group sun screenshots of high income, friends show off the new villa, the big car, so that the players believe, and constantly increase the amount of investment.

This set of down, players basically have trust in the game, almost even officially into the pit.

2) MLM-style crazy headhunting

In addition to these tricks, there are many other tricks used by scammers to get players to work their way up to the top and develop their downline.

① Limit the number of robberies.

In order for players to pull in their neighbors, scammers set their accounts to rob animals only 3 times a day. As a result, many players have to borrow numbers, take the phone numbers of family and friends, and create multiple accounts to increase the chances of snapping up animals.

In the process of borrowing cell phone numbers, many people were led to play “Animal World”, and they also tasted the sweetness of earning fast money, and the player base gradually grew.

Only by upgrading can you earn big money.

In order to lure players into the game, scammers have resorted to profiteering to lure them in.

On the one hand, players can get cash rewards directly from new recruits, and they can earn $60 for pulling 20 people, or a few hundred friends.

On the other hand, the scammers have a very elaborate hierarchy.

The game is divided from top to bottom into 5 different levels: Jade Emperor, Dragon King, Ally, Garden Master, and Commoner.

In the process of raising animals, the player needs to feed the animals, which can only be purchased from his superiors by spending money. The upper level then buys it from his superiors, who take a portion of the money from each level, the higher the level, the more money is taken.

In this way, the most superior Jade Emperor and Dragon King naturally earn the most.

According to @DongHuaPan, a gardener can earn 200,000 per month, the Dragon King level that is even a few million per month is no problem.

In order to make more money, players are tempted to upgrade.

It’s easy to get enough people to upgrade, so people are trying their best to pull heads, just to lie back and earn money for the next level.

This is a great way to get the most out of your money, but it’s also a great way to get the most out of your money.

3) The advocacy group continues with a second scam

The above, however, is barely the basic operation of a pyramid scheme.

What I didn’t expect was that the scammers would even infiltrate the advocacy groups, and once again, in a desperate attempt to trick players.

Since the collapse of Animal World last month, victims have started many advocacy groups. In the end, the group was actually filled with a lot of “props”, who persuaded the scammed players to invest in a new financial product, the “Funny Bug”, or to make money through the old way of raising animals.

It’s a good thing that the scam is still working, and players have been joining the new WeChat group one after another. According to one victim, he saw a lot of “old friends” in the Laughing Bug’s group.

However, it is inevitable that Bugsy will eventually make the same mistake as Animal Planet and end up in a crash land in the near future.

Seriously, these scammed players are also very poor, having just lost a large sum of money, and holding a desperate desire to regain their blood, they often go to the hospital and accidentally fall for the scam again.

The scammers are inhumane, cheating players once still not let go, have to wave leek cut twice, pushing people to desperation, simply hateful!

4) Preying on college students and baby mothers

The reason why this scam has such a high success rate is because the scammer group started out by targeting two groups, college students and moms, thinking that they were simple-minded and lacked money and looked the most “scammy”.

The first thing you need to do is to take a look at a few of the products that are available in the marketplace.

It’s not just a matter of time, it’s also a matter of time before you get to the bottom of it.

More than half of the university’s students played “Animal World” and were abetted by the lead administrator, who blindly followed their classmates to invest money and took out campus loans.

The end result is not only that they have no money for food and tuition, but also that they have to be paid by a bunch of creditors at a young age, and it’s hard to say whether they can graduate or not. ……

03

Conclusion

To be honest, in the past two years, there have been too many similar MLM fraud products popping up on the market.

For example, the panda to make money “national treasure panda”, “cloud cat” …… countless, many are even the same group of fraudsters opened N disk.

In fact, no matter what animal a player is raising, it is just a virtual symbol that does not have the ability to create profit, and the product has no real income at all.

The essence of the “game” is a Ponzi scheme that tears down the east wall to make up for the west wall and tears down the south wall to make up for the north wall. When the “wall” can no longer be mended, it will inevitably collapse.

In the face of so many unguarded operations by fraudsters, we once again remind everyone that there is no pie in the sky, only traps!
