- Visit sites of historical interest in Chengdu in the Tang and Song dynasties to see if any of them survived the battles of the late Song dynasty (focus on the Weigao Shrine in Daci Temple, and if you can get into the Shu Palace, check out the two stone pillars built during the legendary Hou Shu period, which were destroyed by Zhang Xianzhong in the late Ming dynasty).
