Huang Qi, a Chinese dissident and founder of the June 4, 2010 website, is currently detained in Bazhong Prison in Sichuan Province and is not allowed to meet with his family. On Monday (7th), members of Huang Qi’s family and friends sent an open letter to the Chinese Minister of Justice Tang Xinxin, urging him to release Huang Qi as soon as possible, so that he could do his filial piety in front of the church and seek medical treatment. Soon after the open letter was uploaded on WeChat, the Sichuan police were on the verge of tracing the letter, and many former Tianwang volunteers were summoned by the public security and threatened not to participate in the incident.
