Two new cases of crowns in Yunnan Ruili, 210,000 people sealed off the city

According to the official Xinhua News Agency on September 15, China, citing the Yunnan Provincial Communist Party Committee Propaganda Department, the local government has taken emergency measures against the spread of the new crown epidemic, requiring the city’s urban personnel to be quarantined at home; and starting at 10:00 p.m. on September 14, outside personnel are not allowed to enter or leave the Ruili city limits without special circumstances for a week.

The authorities have also requested that all personnel in the city be tested for nucleic acid; that personnel who leave Ruili after September 12 should take the initiative to report to the local community; and that the public security organs be severely punished for organizing, assisting, and accommodating illegal immigrants.

Two confirmed cases of imported neo-crown pneumonia were confirmed on Monday in Ruili, a city on the border between China and Myanmar. The asymptomatic infections were imported from Myanmar.

The report said that Ruili has been in consultation with Muse region to strengthen the screening of Burmese nationals in the city, including those who have a fixed place of work to register and test their information, then quarantine them in place and do not go out; to register Burmese nationals who entered the country before the closure of the port but whose documents have expired, and include them in the grid management according to their place of residence or work site; and to take measures such as centralized repatriation for Burmese nationals who cannot verify the time of entry, have no fixed residence or fixed place of work.
